I would like to congratulate Jobe on a terrific year to date. He just keeps getting better with every game he plays. Hope he finishes the year off with the form he has shown over the past 17 rounds. Also good to see the younger guys all have an influence on the game it makes me postive for the future well done guys. Lets give it everything we have got for the rest of the season no matter how long we have left. GO BOMBERS:thumbsu::):thumbsu::D

Here here, good work Jobe. Good to see him step it up this season. Should challenge McVeigh for the Crichton :thumbsu:
Haha I loved Timmy calling him Jobie Wan Kenobi yesterday, was classic

haha
Jobe has been just exceptional. Have a look at his body shape in his first year, compared to know. It's just un-freakin-believable

Abosulte GUN. and will get better. 200+ game, multiple b&f winner i am certain.
I wonder if Yagabomb still believes he is "nothing short of garbage" and a "useless snail"

So Yaga are you just one of those that refuses to admit he is wrong or do you actually still believe your statements?
the kid isnt far away from becoming an elite midfielder of the comp.
looks like he will win his first b&f this year.

He finished last season with a bang. Then come out at the start of this season and his disposal was nothing short of terrible, but the last half of this year has been outstanding. Keep it up Mr Watson. :thumbsu:

I do merv. Dont get me wrong he's played some not bad footy this year but why is it that on the big stage (the mcg) he always seems to struggle?

Our Midfield is looking so so much better then it has in recent years imo.
Jobe bouncing back after all the critizm he coped is great, Jay Nash he is going places, Winderlich probably our best midfielder at the moment just adds some needed flare, Dyson rotating through there in short sperts, stanton getting back to full fitness from his ankle and virus. Not to mention Hird to come back soon.
Our midfield future is brighter then we think it's a fair way off Geelong and West Coast but having Lovett and Davey work in there more and one or two draft picks in the next year or so could see us with a decent midfield.

 IMO Jobe is THE most important player in our midfield by far. He has been very very good this year and is teetering on the edge of becoming an elite midfielder in the not too distant future.
Against Richmond he woudl have been just about the sole reason we won in the last quarter. That was, of course, at the MCG where he "struggles".
I seriously cannot understand why a supporter would refuse to recognise the talent and imrpovement in one of their own players.

Don't forget Houli, Dempsey and the possibility of Monfries developing :thumbsu:
Who has the bad midfield? :D

Am i wrong now merv???
Am i wrong now merv???
Of course you are wrong.
You said he is nothing short of garbage - wrong
A useless snail - wrong, he is slow though
As for today and the MCG, he wasn't great but was probably our best player, not saying a lot though.
As for past MCG perfomances, i can't really remember what he has played like tbh
He was tagged by Sewell for most of the game.

NFI. Id go as far as saying Hird aside, he's the best player on our list.

Did anyone happen to see page 35 of today's Herald Sun? The picture of Jobe with the caption "Coughing Up Possession" - has there ever been a more appropriate headline?

ROCCA IS USELESS (the five goals on the weekend was an anomaly)

Considering your mob is back in the pack once more. 6th at best for the Pies and the Colliwobbles will continue to haunt your team of chokers. Lets reflect on those wonderful years of 02 & 03 shall we.

It was an average performance by Rocca 8 disposals and 5 goals against Jason Saddington.

granted his foot skills arent the best but tell me another player at esendon who does the hard work in and under then jobe watson. Would like to see him play a full game instead of being taken off every 5 minutes. Defiantly one of teh most important players in essendons line up

I'm very happy with Jobe's improvement this year. His kicking still needs a bit of work, but the point is that he's getting a lot more of it now and learning how to use it. He's making decisions faster, and better decisions at that, most of the time - obviously he still has a few "oh god Jobe" moments. Now that he's learning how to use the ball properly, less-than-perfect disposal matters a little less.
Much work to go, but otherwise...:thumbsu:

Improves every match will be 200+ gamer for sure.
Would be one of the best players in the comp if he improved his long kicks and if he was quicker.

Believe me the dockers, who im not affraid to admit, are utterly useless at clearances are deadset going to tag the hell out of watson. which is a compliment to the way he has played this year, reckon he got a bad wrap by some bombers supporters trying to compare him to his dad, i reckon he can play, and ryan crowley is going to have to play a good game to shut him down, and if it isnt him then it will be josh carr.
