The AFL should bring this system for the umpires

The umpires have teams. There would be 8. They compete against one another to move up the ladder. The umps game gets reviewed by a panel of 5 people. They get a certain amount of points for each game. The more points the better. They would get points for good umpiring. The team which gets the most points at the end of the year gets to umpire the GF. The umpires will have a squad of 7. 3 field umps, 2 on the bench and 2 in the reserves.

This way the footy teams know what sort of umpiring they are going to get each week and when the umps get critisized for bad umpiring they can solve in their team to make it better. This way they will umpire more consistently.

They could even have a draft system. The worst team gets the best young umpire to make their team better.

No. This is a poorer version of the "team" suggestion a few weeks ago

What are you on?

Don't put too much thought into this.
