screw goal and mark of the year. wat about dummy spit of the year. some xav guy chucked the ball at the goal umpires head after he claimed he touched it and it was called a goal.
Might i add he is the captain of the waterpolo team apprartly. it would be safe to say the ball may have had some serious sauce on it

I no alot of you guys think that the aps is the be all and end all of footy its not, its not a very strong comp and it is by far the softest comp in victoria. Yes there are a couple of gun players who will get drafted however there are all on scholoships the comp has been runied

Kyle Martin was easily the best midfielder I saw all year against Xavier.
Best forward, probably Tilly Yaman
Best defender, easily Dan Noonan - pity he is ill this week and pulled out of the APS squad

How lame for a school to pay the school fees of someone just so that they will play school football, etc. for the school. Do they think that it makes the school seem better, in the eyes of the public?? It is definately wrecking the school football comps. Tho it is nice when a school without scholarships takes it upto these teams...often not the case tho.

Whats Xavier....chopped liver? Not all APS schools give out scholarships for football, only a certain few. Even the serial offenders like Haileybury have eased up on their scholarship programs at the insistence of other APS principals. And when you look at the truly great players to go on to play AFL from the APS in the past, how many could you say have been on scholarships? Its usually the people who have worked hard instead of getting an armchair ride that go places.
