View Full Version : .Who here thinks that Andrew Demetriou has done one good thing for the game?
I personally think AFL has gone downhill since Demetriou took over. Sure, supporter numbers are up, but I think its just natural growth that goes with population growth. Other than that, I can't think of one good thing about Andrew Demetriou's reign. Can you?

The most frustrating thing about him is that he doesn't admit when he is wrong.
Eg:Tanking, Hands in the back, Tribunal, Drugs etc etc.

Has done about as much for the AFL as Jesse Martin did for the world of extreme water sports.....

Off field the game isn't in better shape. How much of that is to do with Demetriou is debatable.
On field, it's not too good.

I can't stand him and his G-rated version of AFL. His response to the performance-enhancers was disgusting, he does not appear interested in stopping PEDs. Like someone said, he won't ever say he was wrong. I dislike the crazy fines they hand out and the changes they have made on field. Other than that he has been great for the game:D
If the AFL hierarchy handed over the reigns to a garden gnome instead of Demteriou, the game would be in a far better state. :)

The only good thing Demetriou could do for the AFL would be to tender his resignation, effective immediately.
