View Full Version : A quick question for Hawk BF members...

Reading threads recently I've noticed a number of BF Members say they sit in N51-N52 and N53 at the MCG.
I find this curious to say the least and wonder where we all sit/stand at MCG home games.
I sit in section N1, Level 1, behind the Southern Stand goal.
I'm part of a group of twelve members who have held seats there since the Club moved to the MCG. (I give my membership to a needy friend who can use it as I live interstate.)
Please post where you sit/stand at the 'G' and I'll tally up the numbers next week :) .

I honestly don't know. It's generally in front of the large Hawks contingent that stands at the back and sings. M5-M10?? Not sure.

Myself, Kon Khan and some other mates have a block of about a dozen seats in Row 3 of N52. These seats are on Level One and are brilliant. I will occupy them until such time as I am dead or the Hawks stop playing home games at the MCG.

ahh. front row of the general admission section level 1, near the camera man.. actually anyone who was at the bombers match i was right behind watson and brucey during their pre match shit. i take a few non members with me most weeks so if the seats are there im there.
I am usually found at the Darwin Tennis Centre running two a side beach volleyball competition. The footy season is the best time of year up here to play beach volleyball as it is not to humid. You can tell who I am, as I have a ear plug in listening to the footy.

My dad, my brother and I sit level 3, Southern Stand about M15...which is as close to the wing as you can get. Sorry guys, it baffles me why you'd want to sit anywhere else bar the wing with a bit of elevation. Can't read the play low on the boundary or low behind the goals.

So, without doubt, you sit near Section M10 (seated). I'll give you that - and what a great place to be. Cheers.

More detail required 'matty_hawk'. "Please explain..." there are lots of camera men at the 'G'.
PS: Give him an elbow this week and tell him to focus on Hawthorn players.

Hawthorn must look fantastic from there. Five wins from seven games a the MCG. Let's do six from eight.

Depends on whether my 6 yo son is with me.
If so we sit up top.
If not I stand in M10 with the vocal majority.
I am not by myself on Saturday (unless the weather is shite) and am thinking of joining Miner Boy behind the goals.

M10 when i dont have my son, he likes to sit up on level 3
Hawthorn Reserved Social Club Seating- Level 2. Right behind the cheersquad.
N1 or N2 from memory. 2nd row down from the top.
How do you sit on Level 1 near the Cheersquad but not in it? Where all the hawthorn people are. Is that Reserved seating? Just curious...
Or do you need to buy a special ticket or membership?

with the boy - as close to fence and cheer squad as I let him take me, has to include a high 5 with Hawka pre game.
with large group of kids/uncles/cousins etc - b/w members and punt rd goals.

Interestimg thread.
My daughter and I sit in N51. This is the first year after 34 years as a member that I have had a reserve seat and it is great!
I think that next year I would like to move to level 2. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Myslef and my mate's first season with reserved seats in level 2. We both love it!! Best view of the game, nice and close to the bar, just undercover enough when it rains, what more could you want? Besides a reserved Grand Final ticket ;)
MCC Members Reserve. Level 2, in the green seats, just to the right of the Long Room.
I have a Hawks MCC Associate Membership, so sometimes the Social Club seating at N1 or N2 up the opposite end, but prefer the MCC area as don't have to look into the sun.
But its moreso just the easiest spot to enter, getting off at the train station to the North of the G.

I sit Ponsford M36 or M28 as far to 50m line as possible, I like M36 cos it's near the run out for Hawks!! And I dont get sun in my eyes. I sat reserved seating on wing last season and the sun in the eyes was horrible!:thumbsu:
