Are there any weird AFL rules in the rule book that not many people know?
For instant I just read about the rule if the ball hits the stadium roof intentionally its a free kick, Lol.

The strangest one I reckon is the one about having your entire score wiped if you have too many players on the field.
From the start of the game until your team's first score you might as well give it a go and see if you get away with it. If you don't then it's no loss.

That happened to a team that was up by about 200 points at one stage (in a local game). They lost by like 5 points (against a team that hadn't won for ages) because the other team had like 10 goals to that stage.
Would be pretty bad sportmanship, I'm sure that something would happen to them if thye did it more than once.

Umpires are Strange.. oh wait you meant Rules.
The hands in the back, turns the game soft. its useless.
