I was at the function on Saturday night too. There'll be a couple of trivia questions to come from that event.

Please start with the easy questions like name the beer I drank all night….. then the tough ones like how many.

Great night - good to see the Browns up on stage.

Had a brew with Doc on Saturday night too. I didn't recognise him and first and asked if he was Dean Lupson? How embarrassment!

He still remembered a great yarn about the house warming that my sister threw in 1990 to which he turned up and impressed us all with his drinking exploits.

I was there. Caught up with so many good Royboys and Roygirls.

One of my highlights: outside, puffing away with Pikey and Highway. Asked Pikey whether he was still at Hastings and in his typically deadpan way, he gave his sideways grin and responded with, 'Yeah, for about another three weeks'

Think its been tough down there :)

I can't really get anywhere outside of work and home these days except to doctors and pharmacies. I was hoping to make the footy match but another caretaker day presided.

Re the Pride thingy in the evening. I was so excited about this coming up, that I was dissociating away the hard truth that I probably wouldn't be able to go due to everything going on personally. But when I saw the actual flier, I was deflated.

The cost was nearly $200???? Who the hell has that sort of money? For a bloody dinner. Nice of the mongrels to price it outside the ability of most people to attend.

There's not much 'Fitzroy' about that price tag, I can tell you. All it does it distance me further from them. But maybe that's the whole intent. Out with the scum who actually barracked, and in with all the wallet wheelbarrows.

I was furious at the time, but I suppose I can't do anything about it. When the merger occurred in 1996, I should have realised there'd be steps taken at later dates to tie up loose ends and make sure the ostracision was complete.
