Unless Port get belted by 15 goals each week and the lower sides just outside the 8 win all 3 games Port will be playing 2007 Finals. :thumbsu:

Watching the news tonight and they mentioned that Salopek, Tredrea, Brogan, Wakelin and Robbie Gray should be all passed fit this week.
Did anyone hear/see how Sal or Wakes went today?
Also with Symes playing well, it just shows how big our depth is.

I see the obvious omissions for Tredrea, Salopek and Brogan would be White, Lonie and Deluca.
I really can't see Wakelin coming back in as we have Chaplin and Thurstans playing well. Also with Carlile hitting form it looks like Wakes career is finished at the Power. Robbie Gray, I think he is going to be a star and would like him in the team but I just cannot see where he could slot in, he is basically Motlop's back up at this stage and not quite ready to break into our midfield. Unfortunately we can't have all our listed players playing together like VFL sides, If we had a reserves side at this stage we would be unbeatable in the VFL.
I really can't see Choco messing around with the team anymore and believe he won't make any radical decisions come First week of finals, eg In - Lonie, Mahoney Out - Boak, Westhoff.

Your teams?

I doubt Mahoney will get an AFL game again this year.

Lonie we all know he is the loved golden boy, who gets a game over better players, so i wouldn't be surprised.

It'd be interesting come finals. Will the club continue rebuilding and keep the youth in the finals games to get experience, or will they try to pounce on the cup and use the more experienced players.

Anyways my finals team:
B: Surjan - Wakelin - Chaplin
HB: Wilson - Thurstans - P. Burgoyne
C: Cassisi - K. Cornes - Salopek
HF: Rodan - Tredrea - Ebert
F: Westhoff - Lade - Motlop
Foll: Brogan - S. Burgoyne - C. Cornes
I/C: Pearce, Boak, Pettigrew, Thomson

The interest for me will be whether players like Lonie and Gray get games in front of Thomson and Boak.

The obvious swaps are Brogan for Deluca, Tredrea for White and Salopek for Lonie. It means that we go into matches with one extra midfielder (Thomson) and one less specialist small forward (no Gray). With Rodan, Pearce, Shaun Burgoyne and Thomson all able to play across HF, I'd be very happy with that set-up.

F: Ebert...Westhoff...Brogan

HF: Motlop...Tredrea...Rodan

C: Boak...Shaun Burgoyne...Salopek

HB: P. Burgoyne...Chaplin...Cassisi

B: Surjan...Thurstans...Carlile

R: Lade...Chad Cornes...Kane Cornes

Int: Pettigrew...Thomson...Wilson...Pearce

I like the look of that side, hopefully Brogan will get back to his form, because Lade can't do it all. I hope we miss Sydney in the finals, West Coast are more attacking, and we do better against teams like them.

I'd pretty much agree with your side PJ Power but i would have Brogan as the first ruckman, with Lade in the forward pocket. I'd limit the amount of time Brogan spent in the forward line as well too as hes a very unreliable kick. So when he wasn't rucking i'd have him on the bench. But yeah your side is pretty much how i'd go.

If he can put together a couple of really good SANFL games before the finals he would be a great asset, but he's hardly played in the last six weeks.

I agree Gray full fit and match conditioned is in our top 22 but hes had an injury for a few weeks now, and the more weeks he doesn't play a game of footy, the more unlikely he'll be back in our team in time for finals.
