AFL Draft game

Have seen a few on other teams boards.
Basically have 16 posters from bigfooty, who aim to select the best 22 players they can using draft picks.
Once all players have been selected, posters will be invited to vote for which team they think is the best.

Just wondering if people think this idea has legs or not?
Happy to run it if enough interest is displayed.

I'm definitely in if something goes ahead. If we get enough, then we should go along with it. But only people that are going to be committed for the whole summer, not first few picks then go off. So anyone going for holidays probably shouldnt volunter.

Some could argue the more people the better, but I disagree, because with this number, the draft shouldn't take as long as some on other clubs boards have. Happy to accept 3 more entrants though, ten would be managable. Also, can those listed above please make a commitment to reguarly check this board once drafting begins to make sure they take their pick.

Rules of the comp are simple. Each participant will select 22 players from any AFL club in order to get the best side. Each player will take it in turns to draft players in a mirror draft format, for example, if you have pick 1 in the first round, you will have pick 18 in the next round. Try and select a side that would actually be good in the AFL, for example, don't just pick 22 gun midfielders. At the end of drafting, a poll will be put up and big footy members can vote on the best team.

Here is the order of draft picks, selected randomnly.

Question, who decided what order the 1st round goes in? It would be fair to say the latter picks (Dale_Didak and myself lol) would think it is unfair that we aren't allowed to pick the best players in the AFL with no valid reason.

LOL sorry dude, if you haven't placed your pick 24 hrs after the last person before you, you forfeit your pick (so people after you can choose players) until you jump on again and quickly make your next pick.

I didnt mean you actually lose the pick, its just that the person after you doesn't wait until you've made yours.

The rule is that if it is someones pick, they have a 24hr time-frame to make their pick. If it hasn't been done, then the next person can make their pick. The previous person who hasn't managed to make their pick can make theirs as soon as they want. And the cycle continues.

Main rule to keep an eye out for.

A person has a 24 hour time-frame to make their pick.

(Thats how it has been with all other fantasy drafts, Im not trying to enforce something new on you guys.)

Lets also keep our picks to ourselves if its not our go. We dont want to know what will happen if a person before hand takes that player and you are left without anyone, even worse is if you aren't on for a day or so, and a fair few picks have gone by before you have officially made yours.
