Congrats to the Saints on a great game today. Very disappointed that we couldn't match it with you after half time. Your boys played a very attractive and hard style of footy, and Big Frase is awesome when he's on. Best of luck from here on in.

Yes, big G Train was on express today, stopping at no stations, I felt a tad sorry for Grover and Mcfarlin as when G Train is on he is unstoppable. Great game saints!

Oh please, no one needs to see the incident. Some one was felled 50+ meters off the ball in what appears a spineless act by a skill free crab of a player, it can ONLY be Baker.

To the point of this thread. Congrats from me too. G-train was saving it up from the last couple of weeks for today, though I think the middle was where you guys won it. Able to maintain and play with pressure for far longer than our guys who just couldn't find room on the tight T.Dome to 'release the valve' so to speak. Well done. Good to see one of my all time fav players in Nick Dal having a good'un. So clean silky under pressure. You guys will worry a few teams come September if you make it - good luck. :thumbsu:

Very disappointed, and we didn't play well, but well done. As an old Sainters (before Freo) fan I hope you make it, and like Ripper said do some damage.

Speaking of damage hopefully you can smash the Eagles next week.

Thanks to the Freo supporters for their comments. The two clubs have enjoyed an interesting rivalry in recent years and hopefully it continues in the future.

On the Baker incident, there was another incident in a pre-season practice game at Optus Oval where Baker and a Collingwood player (Brad Dick maybe?) came together behind play and Dick was left lying on the ground and had to be carried off the ground. The Collingwood supporters put two and two together and decided that the kid was belted behind play. A later replay showed that he'd actually backed into Bakes and injured himself.

I'm not saying that happened here. However nobody saw what happened yesterday. If footage was to surface and it shows Bakes making contact with Farmer he'll be dealt with. I'm also not surprised that opposition supporters would hate Bakes either. He's not the kind of player that would endear himself to anybody bar the supporters from his own club (ie Josh Carr) but he's been a bloody good player over the years.

My comments at least were a touch tongue in cheek. I'm certain Saints fan would say the same if the situation was reversed and Farmer (or yes J.Carr) was the one accused of taking a player out behind play. The incriminating thing here is that unless Voss is making things up, it sounds fairly certain Baker has done the dirty. And by all means love your hard nut players. No doubt if Baker was a Docker I would love his antics even if occasionally he may be a bit 'embarrassing'. But as a fan you've got to take the good with the bad. The fact is his type (and I concede Carr in that category, although I would argue he is a far more skilled player than Baker) are the sort that other fans love to hate and usually with good reason.
