the worst thing to come out of the result is that now your 2nd best percentage in comp accounts for nothing

That was the first thing I thought of when I heard the result
I actually had the same thought when St Kilda drew with the Dogs. Now the same thing applies to the teams we're chasing.

so how is that so, if we end up equal 4th?

It isn't possible to come equal fourth now. We can't come equal with any of the teams directly above us - only 2 pts below them or 2 pts above. The only team our percentage is really going to help us with is St Kilda as they are exactly one game behind us.

The chances of that happening are about as good a Carlton winning a game which is absolutley none so IMO I would rather we would have lost the game and at least given Brisbane a better chance of making the 8 as they deserve to be there.

It almost happened yesterday. If only Ebert had hit the post. Then our draw would have been almost as good as a win seeing we could have gone ahead of both Hawthorn and Port on % once Port had lost to Geelong and we had beaten the Hawks.

i dont get it, its not like its a bad thing to have good precentage, it wouldnt have been better to lose but we may as well have.
the worst thing out of the draw is that we didnt win.

Pretty much, unless Saints win both of their games and we only win 1. Then we will still be ahead of them on % seeing they are 4 points behind us right now (they had a draw aswell).

I doubt it very much they get nothing out of winning one game but lose so much.
