Which 'up-and-comer' would you rather in your side?
Both products of the super 2005 draft.
Pendelbury easily although Jones looks a likely type

Jones is dead-set value at pick #12. That's all i care about. I bet the pies fans are rapt with pendles as we are about Chunk.

Honeslty, I really like Jones.
And I would love him at the Pies.
I can't split them, but two different types of players.
Pendlebury isn't soft though.
Jones is a good little battler. Pendlebury looks and thinks kinda slow. Good players, but nothing exceptional. Line-ball call. :)

Agree, but he doesnt play with half the aggression and intensity that jones does

Jones is awesome....but there is no way pendlebury is slow moving or thinking coming from an elite basketball background he is one of the fastest thinkers in the game and also has the best sidestep u will ever see. he is a genuine freak considering he played his first game of aussie rules footy in 2004 and was drafted in 2006

He flattened the hell out of Brad Fisher though.
I'd go with Pendlebury, but I do seriously rate Nathan Jones though, would love him at the Pies. :thumbsu:

i don't think that it is a coincidence that the 3 games Pendlebury was out for was the smashing we copped from Brisbane, the scrappy win against Carlton and the loss to Richmond

Probably not a coincidence but could you imagine Melbournes midfield this year if Jones was out?
Both fantasitc young players with bright futures, lets wait and see what happens next year when (hopefully) Jones has more support around the ground and the team gets up and running with a bit more confidence.

Different types of midfielders, would be a handy pair if they played for the same club.

Depends on the type of midfield at each club. We currently need someone classly like Pendlebury but if we swapped Jones for him we'd fall down in the grunt area.

If you had Jones feeding it out to Pendlebury you'd dominate.
They're two different types of mids. And parrot, you really have NFI.

How true. It must be tough at Carlton at seasons end deciding who to keep rather than who to delist. So little talent it's sad. :)

Both really impressive players. Pendelbury is all class whilst Jones is your classic crash and bash midfielder, reminds me a bit of Dan Kerr
We have too much of the Pendlebury type, i would go for Jones.
