I reckon it would be bloody awesome. No one would expect us to win despite our exemplary away record in finals lately, I personally would rather play this way than at home, anyone with me?

Pretty sad you have to leave your home state to watch your team play.. Well what the hell do you want, all 22 teams playing at their home ground every week including the Grand Final? Riiiiiiight.

If we have to travel to AAMI Stadium i'd much rather it be this week in a match which isn't not out.
the three toughest tasks this final series are going to be
=1 - West Coast at Subiaco
=1 - Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium
3 - Geelong in Melbourne (Geelong at SS would've just got over the top of those two)
Fortuantely we at least get to avoid one of them.
But i wouldn't want to be facing Port at AAMI in a preliminary final.
If worst comes to worst i'd much rather face Geelong in Melbourne in the PF.
The worst case scenario is we lose this weekend and slip to fourth. It's going to be tough enough beaten Geelong in Melbourne, and if we fail in that we'd be almost certanties to have to go to AAMI to play Port Adelaide in the PF if we are to get through to the GF.
in actual fact, i think were better off coming 6th than 4th.
finish 6th = home final against 7th = should win (although should be swans which = tougher game)
then away final in Melbourne, i'd be confident we win
then away to Geelong in PF....
finish 5th = home final against 8th = win
then away final against 4th, i'd be confident we win
but then away to Port Adelaide in PF...
finish 4th = away final to geelong = very tough game. we'd be underdogs but could win
if we lose, then home final = win
then away to Port Adelaide in PF....

Doesn't phase me. Probably better if we play 4 finals anyway. More time for guys like Embley to get run into their legs.
I wouldnt be worried about having to play Port at AAMI but id much rather them travel to our place.

No way!!
You would seriously rather play at AAMI against a team that has beaten us every single time but one in a Qualifying final??
Thats crazy.
Sure, if it happens to fall that way then we have to play those cards but to hope we play there is silly.
Saying that, I never gave hawthorn, Collingwood and Sydney chances of beating Port there in 2001, 2002 and 2003 finals respectively. so who knows??

Yeah for sure...
If we happen to play Port at AAMI first week and lose then win 2nd week imagine the pressue that would have built up on the cats heads over that week off.
Plus by that stage we would get Kerr back and "hopefully" have a fit Embley and Hansen in there.
I would be much more confident of beating the cats at the G than Port here.
**Living in Adelaide maybe have made me rate Port a little higher than people not living here**

I would absolutely rapt with the idea if we were playing the Crows.:)
For whatever reason we suck against Port Adelaide. I want any advantage we can get.

I didn't think many would agree, but it would be super cool to beat Port at AAMI in a final.

Most would agree it would be awesome but most wouldnt think it would be possible.
I for one give us a chance as Port are very ordinary at home in September, when clear favourites.
CARN WEST COAST.

Recent finals history suggests we are pretty good, if not awesome away from home; Port have been a bit suspect when playing at AAMI.
That's not to say I'm confident about it though, anything can happen.

Port have won 7/10 away from AAMI and 7/11 at AAMI. That would seem to suggest that we are no better at home than away. Wherever the game is played, the best side on the day/night will come out on top. :thumbsu:

I have "in the wings" membership...... just waiting for a few thousand full members to drop dead so I can get a seat.

Neither, they can have a draw
Neither, they can have a draw
That would be a nice result indeed.
