300 to 400 Bomber fans turn up today to pay tribute to Hirdy and KS and what do we get?......F--- ALL!
After a brief training run, the boys wandered back towards the race and most there would have expected the players to spead out along the boundry line and sign stuff for the kids. But,no. 5 mins and gone!....
The crowd was spread out along some 50 mtes of the fence. The players quickly made for the exit tunnel and only about 5 mtrs either side of the race....heaps of kids missed out. F---k the adults...its about the kids.
Anyway,we'll get over it......Houli looked good,Neagle was leading out and dropping marks,but was propably nervous and trying to show off a bit. He looks in fantastic shape.
PS...the players call Gumbleton "Gumbles".
There goes the Peel Thunder nickname 'Gumby'.
Hird had his calf rubbed in the middle of the main drill and rejoined after 5 mins of treatment....hope he gets thru the match.:o
