Ok we all hate west coast and rightly so. After all, what decent person doesn't. But which WAFL team do you love to see lose? For me it would be out of Subi and East Perth.

Subi must have the ugliest jumper known to mankind. It actually hurts my eyes trying to watch them.

But I'll vote for the Royals. That club has toffee nosed w**ker written all over it. It was a perfect match when they teamed up with west coast under the host club arrangement.

i dont really see much WAFL but the team i like is east freo, this is all due to me getting to meet them all a few years back(the year they lost the GF think it was 2000). i was at that stage a hostess on the prospector(train) and had the job off looking after the boys on the train. All i can say is oh my. certainly was interesting. oh the stories i could tell

so i guess for arguments sake i will have to dislike south freo, just cause

The Bulldog in me says the Shark is the enemy from Old East... But I have always disliked Swan Districts. Remind me of Collingwood. Saw a few Big Day Outs at there oval and thought it was crappy area.

Swans rule, you can all get fu***d

Don't like East Perth, sellouts with the big logo on the front of their jumper.

East Perth. Can't remember why - it's just always been that way....

Used to hate Swans and never thought much of Claremont... but I don't have the same level of hatred as I once did for them.

So it's really just East Perth these days. With a little bit of Claremont thrown in.

Good to see it is just not me. Although conventional wisdom should have Sowf's as my least favorite team I have found that my feelings since 1995 AD have mellowed a bit toward them in respect of the bigger picture.

Derby wins are still great though. :)

Even before that there has always been a grudging admiration.

For me it is East peerth by a long shot.

West Perth. East Perth not far behind.

A Few Side Notes:

Loved the West Perth fan's umpiring chants when their side kicked themselves out of the game against South Fremantle the last time both sides played each other at Freo Oval.

I got very close to red carding a feral West Perth fan when he was heckling me when I was umpiring the little league at half time.

Subiaco have now gone above East Freo in my list, East Perth remain my least favourite team.

I grew up in the early 80's and have always supported Swans, with East Freo as my 2nd team.

The teams I used to hate when I was young were Souths, Subi and Claremont.

However, since 1995 I have followed the fortunes of South and now I don't really hate them at all.

I voted for Subi. Always hated them. Always will. Even after I have actually lived in Subiaco (and drank there) for most of my life!

I actually thinnk they've done us Freo folk a favour by keeping the scum out of our part of town. :thumbsu:

;)

East Perth, Claremont and Swans were always the teams I hated most. East Perth just "because"; Claremont it was the Moss/Ralph combo and Swans was the Boucher/Beasley combo that did it for me.

Now I just hate East Perth. :D

And I reckon Claremont and Subi suck cos they have cheque book recruiting and that pisses me off.

Swans for me. Deep seated loathing goes back to the 70's. And their oval sucks, those changerooms:thumbsd:

The passage of time.
As a young lad growing up and indoctrinated in the finer cultural aspects of life I was, and still am, a fanatical Souths supporter. Quality you say with a knowing nod of the head.
You didn't need to be told, you just knew: East Freo, their supporters, their ground, their township, all of it should have been exhumed (coz it's already dead and buried), cremated and scattered to the ends of the earth. No, too close.
Ah, but the passage of time.
With Freo adopting both sides as their heritage how can one hold on to the old animosities.
The basic facts are still true of course, but we higher level supporters can make the adjustment to take in our pauper neighbours in the spirit of a united Fremantle. Hard, but we can do it.
Of the others, anyone with an association with the drug runners down the road should be banned from the WAFL. And of course Subi now because they must be cheating the salary cap - not to mention Read and Chick.

Good poll. Hate East Freo with a passion, but that's because i'm a loyal Sth Freo supporter and you have to hate the gummies.

Kind of the same. I was raised to hate East Freo and played warriors etc with Souths so the big matches were always against East.

Now I'm a little indifferent to them due to a lack of success and so many good players coming from there. It wouldn't take much though for me to start hating them again.

Claremont are the best, mind you lately we seem to only lose grandfinals.

Claremont rarely buy players, we have a strong zone and most of the afl players we have are products of that. I also don't mind East Fremantle but they are unlucky in that all of there good juniors tend to get drafted into the afl, which seems to have impacted there performance.

I hate Souths and Subi because both sides buy there best players. The sides I hate generally change depending on who is good enough to stop Claremont from winning the flag.

When they moved to Leederville Oval I swear you could he the groans of thousands of Cardie supporters rolling in their graves.

It's funny..growing up i was encouraged to HATE South Freo and I did. Even as a kid, Mum and I would travel 600km round trip to watch our beloved Royals on Saturdays. I used to love Archie Duda and hoped he'd kick more goals than Ray Bauskis lol. (giving away my age there) Mum remembers the hatred between Souths and East Perth way back to the 50's when there'd often be fisticuffs (in the game and amongst spectators).

Must be mellowing in my old age. I live in South Freo, work in Freo, love the place and even have a soft spot for the Bullies. The club is really good with our kids at school, and I even get invited to the annual dinner. I can now see the similarities between traditional "working class" areas of East Perth and South Freo.

And now I hate Subiaco and Claremont. Subi is the home to the Eagles, Claremont is full of Eagles supporters, and both these clubs represent the wealth, money and arrogance that makes them the West Coasts of the WAFL.

Claremont. Spoilt my 12th birthday in '81. We won the fights tho. Basil Campbell and Stephen Michael would have made an awesome WWE Tag Team.

Subiaco come a close second. Another pussy cat team full of college fags.

East Perth because they were WC Reserves team.
