I don't know what happened but I was thinking that we would get run over by about 80 points at 3/4 time. Then Scotty went on a rampage. I'm wondering what Sheedy would have said to inspire the team so much. Whatever he said the players lifted. And big time. While we didn't get the points, this was the first time in ages that I was proud of a loss.

'Boys, this is my last game at the Dons, I want to go out with my head held high, I don't want to be the guy who went out in a 10 goal drubbing. I'm a wealthy man - there is $50,000 in it for each and everyone one of you if you play dead in the last quarter, let my boys run riot - especially Scotty Lucas, I ****ing love that guy. Come on boys, do it for old Sheeds'

But then he got thrown out the Eagles huddle. ;)

that last quarter from Lucas was brillant. with that said wtf was with lucas being played in back line over the last month.... could have finished with the coleman

I think Sheedy was trying to keep them optimistic - that a comeback was possible. Hirdy just pleaded with the boys for 'one more memory'. It was a little sad they weren't able to come back and win it... they got so close.
