Random question it may be but still, It's been a while since i've been at home on a saturday night with no plans whatsoever besides watching the fotty, So I decided to make pizzas with my old faithful dough recipie which takes me over 6 hours to make.....(99% is just it rising) which means it's the perfect time to sit down, put my feet up and watch the footy).
So here it goes..What are your favourite pizza toppings of all time. Feel free to include any random combinations that may or may not have worked. As i'm all for experimenting with food.
My favourite toppings are pretty plain really where I have mushrooms, ham and black olives...sometimes i'll replace the olives with pineapple if I feel like a bit of sweetness instead of saltiness. but really, It's whatever I have on hand to tell the truth.
So come all ye faithfull and tell us about your culinary ways in art of pizziology.

Anything spicy - lots of jalapeņos. The hotter the better because then all the softies don't like it and you get it all to yourself.
Olives, mushrooms, bacon and/or ham. Chicken is nice sometimes.
Pepperoni, pepperoni, pepperoni. I could quite happily eat a pizza with nothing on but pepperoni.
I like pineapple but it doesn't belong on a pizza. You want something sweet make some fruit salad, don't go bastardising your poor pizza into some sort of half dessert abomination.

Pizza Hut about 10 years ago done a Mexicana pizza with jalapino peppers etc, and dobbed on sour cream over the centre when it came out. They also gave you a packet on cheese Dorito's to pour over the top of it.
Was quite tasty I recall.

If we're talking commercial pizza I loved that herb and garlic 'Edge' from Dominos. Pizza crust does nothing but take up valuable space where flavour could be living.

Hot felino Sorry mate i'vew got no idea what that is.. what does it taste like and where can I find it?

I do like a bit of kick however, though I find the Peppers can be picked off too easily and you tend to loose precious slices to pizza thieves....So instead I put chilli flakes into my sauce and as such, is close to impossible for the thieves to pick them out MUWAHAHAHA.....but on the pineapple hatred....I've noticed a distinct movenment of this kind in recent years....I just don't get it that's all....it doesn't make it a desert just by having pineapple in it....take for instance sweet and sour pork/chicken, this is made form a reduction of more often that not pineapple juice....yet in no way would i classify it as a desert....but hey who cares, your not the only one who thinks this way....my little brother is the same.

Eagle Boys Chicken Satay is the best. But, you have to pretend it doesn't have the word Eagle on the box.
In case anyone was just about to, don't under any circumstances put tinned asparagus on a pizza. It will not end well.

Making it into a desert? Thats as silly and over the top as GJ's opinions on the main board.

Yeah it was supposed to be silly and over the top.
I still actually eat Hawaiian pizza if I have to. So don't be thinking you guys can get out of sharing just by putting pineapple on.

Whoa! I wouldn't go that far.

Thickly Sliced Salami, Mushrooms, Lots of Cheese.
Capsicum, Tomato, Onion, Garlic and Chicken.
Love the four cheese pizza from my local italian place, Mozzerella, Parmesan, Cheddar and Camembert.
Chicken, Asparagus and Onion with Bechemel Sauce.
Best commercial pizza is the Americana from Dominos.

Chicken, Asparagus and Onion with Bechemel Sauce.
Is the Bechamel used instead of the tomato base or does it just go over the top, i'm quiet intruiged with this one and will defenitly try it on friday. Does it have a name by any chance? Like the Urologists Dream?, And out just out of curiosity, does the onion go on fresh or should it be caramalised (as is what I will do)

I do it instead of the tomato sauce, but there's probably no reason why you couldn't do both. I cook the chicken and the asparagus (till tender) but leave the onion raw.
I pinched it from the local pizza joint, they use a mayo sauce rather than the Bechemel.

I like it!, sounds great..not to keen on the maya idea though but otherwise:thumbsu:, I'll also stick to just using the white sauce the first time to and see how it goes....thank you.
