Roos by 56...the Bulldogs have nothing to play for while the Roos are still a chance at a top 4 spot.

i'm thinking of getting on Brent Harvey for most possessions.... anyway the kangaroos should provide to be just a little too good for the dogs in the end & run out winners by 15-30 points.

Possibly Grant too. But the Dons couldn't win in their last game in Melbourne for Sheeds and Hird, so who knows if it's that big a factor.

Well it worked for St Killda. I think that the bulldogs will loose but becuase of Luke Darcy they will make it a close contest.

Kangaroos by 2-5 goals

Hmmm, winning by 10 points over the wooden spooners isn't what I'd call an inspired performance...

Do ppl think the Bulldogs could come out to play and play their running style at their best for one big last effort to send off their retirees? Cos if so the $4.00 im considering investing.. or do the kangas have too mcuh to play for in terms of a top 4 spot

Kangas 2.1
Dogs 1.2

The Doggies seemed to have run out of puff late in games the past few weeks, they need to make sure they hang in there this quarter.

He's a gun who regularly performs - last week was one of his rare bad games.

Doggies looking pretty good here, they actually deserve their lead unlike last week when Hawthorn ran over the top of them after missing plenty of shots early.

Kangas need a steadier.

Not suprised with the start to the game, but the Roos will win. Probably comfortably. I picked us actually but that's cause I need a few miracles to win the tipping competition.

Yup, and honestly it's probably 50/50 who gets the first ruck and who sits on the bench.

You'd think Cox would be the first choice, but I doubt many would be suprised/disappointed if it was McIntosh.

Very ordinary player. Don't say West Coast didn't warn you, looks like a girl, plays worse than one.

Roos have booted 5.4 to zip this quarter.

Chris Grant will probably retire today, I don't think he sees any chance of a premiership next season.

I've watched nearly all of the Dogs' games over the past 5-6 weeks and based on that evidence I'd have to say the Dogs aren't as good as maybe you think they are. Maybe it's just a late-season fade out, but you'll be lucky to make the 8 next year.

I reckon we've been tanking for about that long, I think the Geelong game showed us that we NEED a tall KPF and the only way to get that is to have a high draft pick.

And then trade for 1? If you think your 1 KPP away from the 8 then drafting a kid wont help in 2008...give it to the AFC for KMac :thumbsu:

If you said 6 weeks ago the Dogs would finish bottom 4 you would have been laughed at, so you're pretty lucky to get a relatively high draft pick in such an even year. I doubt tanking is a factor, I think confidence has more to do with it.

You don't trade for KPF you build them.

I take it stats ain't your strong point. There were 4 scoreless quarters last year, the last being Freo v Crows in the Qualifying Final (http://stats.rleague.com/afl/seas/2006.html#fin).

I know, I was pointing out that to have a chance to be back in the 8 in 2008, drafting a kid wont do it.

Wonder what the record is

johnnyhoward
2 Sep 2007, 16:57
Johnson gets his 5th - talk about a one-man team (as has been the case for most of the year, even when the Dogs were in final 8 contention). Gun.

If anyone cares, the margin is 37 points.
