i like your Loyalty Jacko, but i don't think Vars will poll all that well this year.

He will get his chance though, probably next year.

I would think that a young bloke called Jesse Duggan will poll exceptionally well though in the U19s d1 count !

from eltham i reckon jai and his tape that is permantly on his head is a sniff, mark minney = 8th in the goal kicking (also alligable for superrules) and a smooth and silky skilled operator they call 'catta'.. wat do u think of these eltham players???

Backs
Brincat (Elt) Gloury (Bund) Vernon (Bund)

Half Backs
Finnin (Mont) Nolan (Heid) King (Nth Heid)

Centres
Lee (Heid) Nolan (Heid) Owen (Mont)

Half Forwards
Chivers (DC) Nuggent (WP) Ryan (more a tall wingman from Nth Heid)

Forwards
Mitchell (Bund) Ryan (Nth Heid) Minney (Elt)

Rucks
Gay (Heid) Harvey (Heid) Contessa (Elt)

Interchange (Have just put forward a name or two from each club.)
A quarter of Heidelbergs team could go here, Jeffrey (Nth Park), King (Epping), Keenan (Mont), Cusack (DC), Richardsons (Elt), Gill (WP), McIntosh (Bund), Jones (Nth Heid), Don't really rate many from the slime.

Haven't seen enough of all teams this year but from what I've seen this would be mine!

Could go down to the wire this one. In my opinion:
1- D. Moore (North)
2- D. Nolan (Heid)
3- M. Gay (Heid)

Smokeys
King (Epping), Wilson(N Park), Nugent(WP). Based on sportingpulse stats obviously.

Good idea. People were talking about it on Friday night. I believe the NFL are going to generate a PDF. Clubs can then print-out and post on their notice boards.

Team of the year is shocking.

Justin Murphy rarely played in the guts all year, Dale Nolan never played at full back the entire year, Harley Ryan never played in a back pocket, they picked three ruckman, didn't think Sagey had that good a year others can clarify (not saying he can't play because he can but didn't think 2007 was a stellar year for him, the bloke from Greensy is a token pick to include all sides.

I mean good concept but get serious about it. No round by round listings of votes available, no top 5 just a winner listed but there is a new logo.

Good to see we got the important stuff right!!!

I believe the right people from the respective Divisions chose the team(s) of the year. Those people being the Coaches. Or should US expert ‘dribblers’ from bigfooty choose? If nothing else, there would be some validity in any negative comments.

good team of the year appart from stanely at centre half forward i watched him play a couple times this year and didnt get a kick in both games and looked like the pace was a bit too much for him. I can also bet that the reason he kicked all his goals r cause mont isnt much bigger than the auskick ground on the mcg at halftime. well done too d-mac for league b+f

no doubt i am bias in my comments but i stand by them, i have had the pleasure of watching all but 1 of his games this year and like everyone at Macleod i have been amazed at his heart and attack on the ball, he is a 60kg kid who puts in on the line each week against 80, 90 and 100kg blokes, he gets smashed each week and loves every minute of it.

Don't think the coaches actually picked the side just nominated players from clubs other than there own. Not sure who put the players in there chosen positions.

In regards to the League's best and fairest, I notice on the NFL website and in articles in the local paper that there is no reference to the winners having won the "Frank Smith Medal" or "George LeBrocq Medal".

Do these medals still exist or have they become obsolete now the NFL are in charge?

I believe they're obsolete for now until the DVFL crud is sorted out. May sometime in the future be awarded retrospectively.

Harrison shouldnt get a gig either. again i saw him play a couple of times and struggled. maybe nugent from west, after all he did play the position as it should be played leading from the 50 and taking a lot of contested marks up through the centre of the ground!!
