Let me first say that i have no affiliation to either of these clubs, but today's result was marred by the incompetency of the timekeeper's and the league itself.
I was standing underneath the scoreboard for the entire game this afternoon. What a spectacle it was. Tough, hard footy which you would expect nothing less of these two sides. However the game should not have finished when it did. If i was a dingley supporter or involved in the club i would be disputing the decision.
If i read right in the record, extra time is five minutes each way PLUS time on. Today however there was five minutes wach way WITHOUT time on. If i am wrong can someone please put me back in my box but my understanding is that dingley has been robbed of crucial extra time considering they were surging forward at the time of the siren.
All i heard from the timekeepers was that they had never had a draw so weren't exactly sure on the right procedures. THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE EXPLAIN????????????

Are you sure that they only did 5 mins only each, there was only another 3 points scored. Does the clock stop for a behind? How much extra time would that be? At local footy they don't stop the clock for out of bounds. Did the umpires have to blow time on at any stage?

Yes, there was only three points scored however when these points were scored the timekeepers obviously didn't stop the clock as i saw the clock start at 40 mins and the siren was stopped at 45 mins exactly in the second 5 minutes of extra time. There was a few out of bounds as well so i would estimate dingley were ripped off about 2 mins playing time. Very crucial in a tight game like that!!!!!!:eek::mad::eek:

Good call, Dingley didn't score for 13 or 14 minutes of play.
Main reason they got up in extra time was Waata Wells smashed Quinny in the middle, i thought he should have stayed forward, instead of going in middle, taking kick-outs.
Massive effort by Dingley however to come back in last quarter, i thought they were gone.
Big Show was amazing around the ground his presence was huge & if Springy can learn to rove to him & Kovacic as they won a lot of hit-outs for a change they will definately win Granny.
Very impressed with the 2 players Springy brought in Mckee & Charles both were lively up forward.
For Dingley Brett Lavars one leg was amazing, he is just a gun.
Any word on the Dingley injuries?
Lastly hit by Woolrich as one of the better ones i have seen by a small bloke, he played well too has added another dimension with his pace.
Can't wait for next week if it rains as prdeicted Caulfield are huge chance with Dingley's injuries

Don't think that Kong is trying to say that Dingley should of won but he is referring to the incompetance of the time keepers. If there is a rule for extra time they should know it before it happens.
Good to here that the big show has finally overcome injuries to be able to move around freely. I found it easier when he couldn't run. Remarkably quick on the lead for someone who would be 120kg plus.
What will be th outcome this weekend? Gimme your views gents?

Springy by 3 goals, i think the week off is worth a couple of goals & the inclusion of Williams & possibly Scott improves their side too.
Dingley need Quinn to kick atleast 6 to win but Districts have more options in Wiliams, both Charles,Odachowki,Vassallo & Mckee who all kick can 3 or more along with the Big Show who can kick goals resting forward.
Ruck is crucial Morgan will need to go with Joyce around ground & not let him dominate around ground like first final.
Dingley must play Brooks on footy he turned game last time when went in there & look for him to push forward at every chance.
Should be a cracker of a game & good luck to both teams no doubt they have earned their spots.
Tip for B.O.G - Gavin Vassallo

what about the 2nds?????
Dingley by a couple of goals, too many tall forwards for Springy, especially with Hanlon back in, Springy only have 2 decent tall backs

my mistake, but watson played in the ones last week so itsits one tall in and one tall up to the ones, so there's not that much of a difference.

just having a look around a few threads and its seems that no-one rates springys's 2nds, bit silly considering that they've won 4 out of the last 6 flags at claytons ground and have always been undersized
I just hope the whole day in general is a spectacle for all involved specially alot of the young kids playin in there first G/F!! Im sure it will be though good luck to all involved

You guys do give a lot of 50s away & lack discipline & i think Dingley are fitter , you blokes have a few more slobs & as i said your defenders are pretty ordinary. I remember when we played you guys every time we went forward we scored, Numbers 31 & 54 are very ordinary

if i'm not mistaken hanlon played the first time aswell.
Word around the traps is that hanlon suffered a mild concussion on the eve of the first final when his old lady gave him one for not picking up his dirty washing off the floor.
Still dazed and confused come game day the club had no height in reserve and had no option but to send the big man out to battle.
After settling his domestic issues he was 100% fit last week and managed to bag 5 big ones and do as he pleased in a best a field performance.

Was that Dingley's best 54 runs around like his got a carrot up his arse & 31 jumps when the ball's not there & stays on his feet when he should jump
