Six Feet Under season 1-5 - $40 ea at Myer and Sanity

this is the best one as it has several online stores specials & you can compare prices as well for any movie that you're looking for.

Before you buy these, I would ckeck for specials on Amazon. I just bought Series 1 - 6 of Oz for $90US from Amazon. Add $20 for shipping, and that is $120US. This equates to about $140AUD.
Considering Series 2 of Oz was 'on sale' for $40AUD, Amazon was a bargain!

Regions could be a problem.
The majority of DVD players out there are multi-region.
If they are it is pretty easy to make them multi-region.
If only people realised that!
I just looked up Oz Seasons 1-6 on amazon though and it says it's $208....bit of a difference?
Show me the link for your deal.

It expired the other day. It was only a one-off.
I purchased a Pioneer HD DVD multi-region player at JB for $118.
Best money I ever spent.

That would have been pretty good like half price!

A lot of people go to specialist DVD stores to buy their DVDS.
Idiots.
You can get them at places like K-Mart and Big W for a lot less. I bought every season of Six Feet Under for about $140 from Big W. If I had bought them from a specialist store it would have cost me $350 easily.

That's less then 30 bucks a season. Is this offer still on?

I bought these over a one year period, not all at once, so it is a common price.

They get below 30 bucks? Didn't know that. Will have to wait, as I was tempted to go in and buy the first two seasons. Think I might buy the first seasons of Rome for the same price instead.

Same here. I try to get every dvd I buy from K-Mart first. JB HiFi can be pretty good too.
Speaking of sales, a good trick with K-Mart I've noticed is when there's a 15% off, go the day before and check out which dvds are on sale, then the next day they will have all the sale price tags removed, but they will still scan at sale price plus 15% off (unless it's only at my K-Mart??).

Why not just get them when theres a sale?
Why not just get them when theres a sale?
cos you can get the 15% off the sale price. Just that K-Mart (or my local one anyway) hide that they are still at the sale price on the day of the 15% off.
So for example, if a $60 dvd on is on sale at $40 before the 15% off sale, the actual day of the 15% off they will have removed the sale price tags so it'll look like it's gone back up to $60 and that you'd be getting 15% off the $60 ($51), but it still scans at $40 plus with the 15% off that, so $34.
Happens like that all the time at my local K-Mart - been doing it for a few years now. I always scan the prices myself to be sure, but it's worked with every one I've tried. But maybe other K-Marts don't try to hide the sale prices on the 15% day?? Not sure.
I guess it's being a bit of a tight ass, and maybe a bit sad :D (I live a few mins away from a K-mart, so doesn't bother me going twice), but if you're buying a few dvds, boxsets or series it all adds up. :thumbsu:

I hope so, cant stand Bali DVDs. If you really want cheap movies just download them. Beats watching some shakey out of sync load of crap.
