It's between Matt Prior and Tim Ambrose for the next couple of years, with Phil Mustard probably getting a look in ODIs as well. If young Steven Davies fufils his potential then he'll also be in the mix in the future.

Every country seems to have this system now. It's like a retainer with a guaranteed payment and then you have match payments added to supplement income. I know in Australia there are tiers within the central contract system and you earn more depending on performance and experience with Punter at the top of the tree. From memory we have about 25 who have central contracts.
