<<<<<<<<<<::::::::: BIG NEWS :::::::::>>>>>>>>
Parkside has almost secured Justin Dorwood for 1 more year on the provision that they win the flag and return to division 1.
James Condos had a falling out with Keilor and with Ed and Bluey at Essendon Grammar and is in talk with Shep to also go back to Parks. Also Patty Davis is on the move back to Parks so it will be interesting to see what eventuates.
Even with them in we (Deer Park) will smash them.:thumbsu:
Highly unlikely when dorewood has signed at albion as assistant coach to savalas and also davis has been training with albion as well....... (dont know whether signed on yet).......... no idea about condos???
dont no whos feeding you that crap but dorwood has signed at albion as assistant coach
Dorwood assistant coach @ Albion????
odds of this 10,000 to 1. I think it is you who is getting feed crap. He's only 24 for starters

Wow..its all happening in here now......swearing, grammer correction from those who im guessing are not overly educated themselves, people upset for not winning flags and getting flogged in a grand final so many dissapointments.....summer is the time to relax, for those who are upset and hold grudges for being the way you are, this is only your own fault.......lol
I will say that i will be joining Nth Footscray next year and should be a good year.
Hustle, see you down there.....:thumbsu:

you name the 4 and ill name 13.....you first.....
No 4 fact that t/lakes boys have signed but r totally pissed off at what was offered to them, have been told that if offer not upgraded they would rather stand out of footy for the year, they feel ripped off by a club that they all took pay cuts for last year 2 get more players and they only want what the feel they deserve. 1 player who has come in top 3 in comp last 2 yrs only offered app $150, thats shit.

Yeah as I have said I think we will be stronger than last year. Haven't lost much and picked up a few. Numbers at training have been average though.
Not sure about the West guys. A couple of them came down to training one night to have a look and talk to the coaching staff. Fingers crossed they will play for us.
Good luck at Parkside. It is almost worth playing there to sample their fantastic ground.

WRFL email sent to clubs today states:
Please be advised that a draft fixture for Division 2 will be released in early January. WRFL Rules state that un-financial clubs as of the 31st of December will not be included in the following seasons fixture. As reported at the AGM we have two Division 2 clubs who are currently un-financial those being Brunswick Power & Gladstone Park .
Lets hope it is sorted and that we have a 10 eam second division competition in 08

they should get rid of both of them, there not in the western zone and dont have juniors and are both down the bottom and dont look like cuming up any time soon or for the matter ever, better for the comp if they go

As you well know S38, Neil 'Bubbles' Breheny has gone there as coach. No one else would bother going to that rabble. Why would you?
Also, have lost no one to Div.1 clubs, but will be picking up a few Yarraville players.

Heath is doing his "usual" pre-season training ie playing cricket, most likely fielding in slips ( not running much) and some big hitting ( again, not running much) - intends to go around again this season, so hopefully is injury free and able to contribute

since when have the league adhered to this rule? I remember a couple years ago they did the same thing with Central Altona....then redrew the fixture when they paid their money....
But in saying that I agree with getting rid of them, they are both clubs that everyone hates going to although are great to play when need a percentage booster....

it will be better if they got rid of both of them, teams will play each other twice making it a more even comp, there both stuggling teams with no preimierships, no juniors and arnt even in the western zone with no history in the wrfl, theres no good reasons to keep them, they only make the comp look sh#thouse and laughable

Seriously Weapons you may not like the guys at Sunshine Heights but why spread stupid unfounded rumours about the club. They are in a very strong position with an extra junior side this year and enough senior players to fill 3 teams so I would suggest they are in the strongest position they have been in for quite a few years. Another thing the excellent form they have shown over the last few years on the field (Seniors and Reserves) is very attractive to possible sponsors so expect a few big sponsors to get on board at the club to make it again, even stronger!

I wouldn't say the other teams went backwards, I would say that Heights, West and North took major steps forward and the other sides couldnt match it. It will be interesting to see this year if the other sides can bring themselves up to the level set last year by the top three sides.

pull up on that weapons ... i was the captain of those ELMA FUDS and we had a good team that year and very unlucky with injuries.. dont go bagging teams from two years ago. unfortuantly districts doesnt have the juniors like the majority of the clubs in the WRFL and for that club to be in the position they have been in off the field is a credit to Cat, steve kennedy and everyone else associated with them...

i think this year it will be sunny heights , parkside and deer park up there , albanvale and north footscray will finnish under them , you say north took major steps last year but in the finals they got smashed by heights and heights got smashed by west , so i think there was a bit of a gap between those 3 teams

[quote=w.weapons;9849622] they got bombed out 2 years ago in the first final by a team of elma fuds.........quote]
pull up on that weapons ... i was the captain of those ELMA FUDS and we had a good team that year and very unlucky with injuries.. dont go bagging teams from two years ago. unfortuantly districts doesnt have the juniors like the majority of the clubs in the WRFL and for that club to be in the position they have been in off the field is a credit to Cat, steve kennedy and everyone else associated with them...
i said that to get under the nose of a few boys on here from coburg......nothing in it.......i just wanted a reply from them......sorry cap

i think this year it will be sunny heights , parkside and deer park up there , albanvale and north footscray will finnish under them , you say north took major steps last year but in the finals they got smashed by heights and heights got smashed by west , so i think there was a bit of a gap between those 3 teams
look d.p wernt fit last year........lets hope the new players bring something to the side.........lets hope your right H.R

I have no doubt that Deer Park will be strong this year, they will be fitter, hungrier and very well coached. I think this year will be out of Deer Park and Heights with North Footscray snapping at the heels. I am unsure of Parkside it depends who stays and goes but I imagine the clubs pride will be dented so look out cause that usually brings out a tough and hard team.

my predictions at this stage are
deer park - prems
sunny hts - r/u
nth foots
parkside
albanvale
but parkside are a dark horse depending who stays and who they get they could easyly be a flag favorite or just there abouts around 4-6

I agree with this comment on Parkside. Hard to make realistic predictions for another month or two. The top teams tend to not lose too many players. I guess it is just who you can recruit....can you get that key gun forward or couple of midfielders to boost you in that area?
Heights would be favourites and Deer Park will need to recruit plenty of players to be a premiership chance. 4-6 good senior players won't be near enough. I know they were competitive in the elimination final (good gutsy effort with limited cattle) but they were way behind the top 4 teams last year.

Gee Louie coaching, christ things are bad in this comp if that'correct.
Louie couldn't coach a pig a to be dirty. Anyway good luck to him as he'll need it. I noticed him in the grand final prentending to look like a footballer, he should be charge with bringing the game into disrepute

Perhaps he may be able to draw from past experiances, like winning an "A" grade comp medal or playing in an 'A" grade premiership.
Cant comment on his footy of late but when at his peak he was a very handy couragous footballer.
He also has been coached by some of the better coaches in the last 10-15 years, so time will tell I guess.

Don't know the bloke personally but he has a fair pedigree as a player in this league. I guy in his mid-30's like that should be encouraged to stay involved. Good luck to him I say.
