....how would you rate our season, out of 10?
I'd give it an 8.5.

8.5 - 9 out of 10 seems reasonable to me. I was happy to have the team get into the second week of finals, that has been achieved for me. :)

Threads like this show me that some people are not taking this game for granted, which is good.

Absolutely tremendous season. 8.5 out of 10 seems accurate.

Will be 10 if we win the grand final,
9.5 if we make the grand final,
9 if we make it to next week.

The finals really define the season in my mind. If we hadn't have put in such a good effort last week I'd consider it a 7/10. Good season with a lot of improvement. Even if we had have lost last week - we showed great grit and tremendous pressure, which is supposed to be where Adelaide are much better than us, so yes, 8.5 very much justified imo.

7/10

We have scary amounts of improvement. We still butcher the ball, miss easy marks and even easier set shots at goal. We still are not hard enough at the man and the ball consistently and are really missing another key backman.

When we iron these areas out, WATCH OUT

At the start of the year i was asked where i honestly thought we would finish, and i replied betwen 7th and 9th, we would either just sneak into the 8 or just miss out, and so on that basis, and to just miss out on the 4, I would have to say they have well and truly exceeded my expectations. So with that in mind I would have to rate this year probably an 8.5/10. I think we have had a wonderful year, with sooooooo much improvement still to come, I just hope it is not a false dawn, and the team does not get ahead of themselves or overwhelmed next year.
Bring on this week, GO HAWKS:thumbsu:

TOTALLY AGREE! Hopefully this wont be a dejavu of 2001/02 When we had all the expectation in the world going into the 02 season, only to be hit with injury and bad form! IMO think the club would of learnt from that period! and weve probably got alot stronger leadership group to see the signs of any potential downfall! This season thus far which will hopefully extend to 29th september would have to be 8 out of ten!:thumbsu:

lol @ 20/10

Before the season kicked off my mate put a $120 bet on hawks to take the flag, his potential win could be 13K. Nice

i think this season must be rated as a 9/10 even if we dont win this week - we are the youngest team in the comp and to make it into the second week of the finals is a great effort. I must admit i personally was not expecting to see Hawks in the finals til 2008 prior to this season, but now its September and anything is possible....but you cant judge a whole season on what happens this sat - you have to look at where we have come from the past 2 seasons!

Spot on.

Just hope Ellis, Dowler, Bailey, Muston and Renouf all come through as well because there will be lots of 10's if that happens.

I'm not sure about the 4 rating, but I'm with you otherwise.

Too many people playing the "if we lose it'll be all good because we weren't expected to go this high yet and we'll be awesome in the future" excuse card for my liking!

We're having a tilt here and you've got to take precious chances when they're on offer.

Will be gutted if we lose this weekend.

Something special is about to happen boys and few girls! Mojo's spidey senses are tingling. And he's never wrong! Except he did fcuk up the Sydney game, oh and the Adelaide game, but did get the Carlton game right - which means he is a top tipper.. :)

Trust me! I'm realistic! ;)

9/10.

We are only going to get better next year with more new blood being added in. So if we lose, that's ok. Just don't want Port to win it.

Can you predict the score line?
