1st of all state weather your in the cheer squad or dispise it.
Do ppl out there believe the ppl in the cheer squad are fat losers who have nothing else in there lives or do ppl think there great supporters who give alot up for the club.
I'd like to know what ppl think.

That is a tough one...Can the answer be a combination of both options?
Cause they are obviously fat losers who are great supporters who give a lot up for the club...:o
I love our Cheersquad.
Those 2 blokes on the fence always crack me up. I always see them having a Siggy on the way in & give them a wave here & their.

Don't care one way or the other.
As long as they have a passion for The Hawks, they're fine by me.

I'll start by saying that I am in Cheer Squad.
And, the guy who yells lift is NOT in the cheer squad.
And it's a mixture of column A and column B. You have the people who live and breathe football and it is their life and the only thing in it, and possibly their main social interaction, then you have the rest, who go and sit there because they like the atmosphere and being around a group of familiar people so they don't feel like a twat sittin amongst some of those people who think they're at the theatre ;)

Fair enough mate, i guess i'm one of those ppl who think of the cheer squad as fat losers who embarrass the greater majority of fans but i guess that is a very general statement. But i guess the cheer squad is important to do all those things that the average normal supporter just couldn't be bothered with ( Banner, Starting the chants).

the guy we are in discussion about - is it a fattish man who usually sits behind the cheer squad and yells "LIFF HAWFORN LIFF" ???
i remember this guy from as far back as the 2000 season - prob a few cans short but his heart is in the right spot!!!
The cheer squad are fat losers.. but it's football! Footy's more passive now then what it was when the VFL existed.
Still.. fat losers! ;)
