View Full Version : Is this a stupid idea?
If he could be pursuaded to come back, would Malcolm Blight be of assistance to Neil Craig in the coaches' box on match day in the future?
It seems one of Craigy's weaknesses is lacking the initiative to try new things during a match, something Blighty was famous for.
Craigy worked well with Blighty in the 1997-98 Premiership years. Could the two work together again, this time with Craigy as head coach?

But what makes you think that Blighty would come back in the first place? While he was a brilliant coach his heart lies in Victoria and i doubt that he'd come back.

This reminds me of 1999 when some evangelicals were dead certain Jesus would come back.

Na, it’s not a stupid idea but unrealistic as Blighty wouldn’t have much interest in playing second fiddle to anyone. He is the ego king. However if it came into fruition it would be a masterstroke of genius.

Blight was a great match day coach, but what would be the point - as Craig would ignore his good suggestions & leave a player on an opponent when they are getting smashed! Jonas asked for a move, Craig said no. Can have a million assistants, but at the end of the day it makes no difference if the senior coach is intent on showing faith in his pre-match moves.

Was going to say that exact same thing Kane.
No good having a genius in the coaching box if you ignore him.
