The dissapointment in 2005 was enough to put the fire in the belly of this team. Each player knew within themself, hours after that agonising defeat that there would be no repeat of such in 2006.
With key players going in for surgery and a long summer of gruelling pre-season for the few still fit player 2008 is destined to be the year for this playing group, now with stars in their mid 20's with another year of experience under the belt.
What a year 2007 was, its over now.
West Coast 2008.
Judd, Cousins and Kerr in full flight will be hard to counter for opposition teams, fingers crossed these stars can return like they never left and the rest of the boys get on in wrestling back what slipped away from them.
Hopefully injuries can get under control, some luck with the uncontrollable ones, but a look into all the soft tissue and bullshit injuries.
A good pre season is desperately needed. We need to get the second tier players fit enough to play all 4 quarters + some if needed, and not just run out of legs. Without Cousins, Kerr and Judd there's just not enough stamina.
Rosa and Priddis being able to run out 4 quarters like our top three players, then we will have enough back up to get over the line in the games like v collingwood and port, I expect massive things from these two kids next year, they should be stars.

Is that all?! Im getting excited already
I really hope young Mitch brown turns into the good player we think he is coz we really, desperately need someone else to stand up across half forward.

Because you are buying into all the Judd trade threads that have popped up, or from being disabled?

We should probably just play midfielders next season with Cox, Glass, Lynch, and Hansen the only exceptions.
Judd, Kerr, Cousins, Braun, Stinger, Fletcher, Priddis, Butler, Rosa...
Will be great if they can all keep fit.

that herald sun article hit hard a bit but then again i remember what happened in 2004. also it seems he will go home eventually so i dunno what to think. just seeing us lose last night after all that hard work really hurts everyone.
