-0.5: Rioli - Fat idiot almost cost us the game. Glad he'll be gone for 4+ weeks after that nice eye gouge. Bring on CORY!

And yes Rioli was a bit of a ****head, really undisciplined. However before then I thought he was actually playing some alright footy. But then, maybe that was just me.

Aggels, you're right, Rioli did some good stuff earlier in the game.
But late in the third quarter he just completely lost his head and gave away a goal, and we were saved by the bell from the Swans getting another which would have put Sydney in front at the last quarter (and would have set me up on the path to despair and ridicule).
Anyway, my votes, from my wonderful vantage point just to the right of centre wing 3 rows from the fence (what a great view it was, and what a great stadium):

-20. Rioli And congratulations to you Stealth, watching this game on telly in Australia. Welcome down under - and hope you'll get a chance to go to an Essendon game soon.

Took us forever to get on the train! But not to worry ... it meant more chanting time!! Don't you worry ... the whole of Sydney knew we were there after the game. We were in full voice. I sang myself hoarse ... i love you Essendon!!!

They have to look into why the hell us travelling Essendon supporters were put up in the bleaches? Was it a case of out of sight, out of mind? Not that that effected us ... we were damn loud!!!!!

Now for my votes:

3. Alessio - good to see him play well. i admit that i though he should have been dropped after last week. great game!
2. Heffernan - great to see the little bloke in form. when he is in form ... he hurts you.
1. Fletcher - saved our arses with some big grabs at the end.

As an aside ... i didn't notice any Swans' supporters around us until they hit the front. Then they were everywhere!!! One group in particular ... i was not suprised to find out that they were given free tickets!! :D

What was Rioli thinking? He was looking good for getting back a little form, then he does a Libba! I was shocked when he did that.

And, was there actually anything wrong with Hille? Or was it Sheeds being Sheeds, and knowing that Alessio would be the best player on the night!:D :D

2. Heff - Who wants to trade him???? Back to his slippery 2000 form. I saw a lot of good niggle in him too, and I love it. Heffs elbows are sharp...:D
1. Fletch/Barney. Hard to pick - both stood up when needed.

Amazing to watch just how good Fletch is in the flesh. Living in Sydney, I only get to a few of Essendon games a year, but it's a pleassure to watch him before/after the play, peeling off, niggling etc etc. A true champ, and he had a great battle with BBBBBBB Hall.

Had great seats directly behind the point post 10 rows back (directly behind the Dons cheersquad).
I can proudly state that my call of "Kick It To ME!!!" to Ricky Mott won us the game too...
:D :p

I still have no voice left (2 days later), but we had an awesome evening!

Thumbs up to the stadium, but I can't help but feel they'll struggle to get people in for the next few games. Essendon has a lot of support up here - can't say I'd expect the Tigers/Blues to get as many, and if the swannettes are struggling, the theatregoers won't be there....

Yes, a very good game by Chris Heffernan, and we only had to wait 2 years to see it. Stuff Hird, let's make Heff our captain. My pre-game prediction that Rioli would look fat was 100% on the money. Bloody good to finally win a thriller against the Swans in Sydney!
