No more finals for him I'd guess. Looked very ordinary.

You could say that for the whole Hawthorn team.
Cheap and cowardly- there should be points awarder for those qualities at the tribunal.
Fair enough you want to rough him up a bit, but that was soft and low.

I reckon that's close to ungraded.
If that happens 6 - 8 weeks.
Cowardly acts deserve 6 min

what happened?
Basically punched/whacked Harvey in the side of the face from behind. The ball was nowhere to be seen
Have I missed something here, or are you guys watching it live?
15 mins to go in the second qtr where I am.
wouldn't be suprised to see him get 6, specially after the whole Baker incident, was a pathetic act.

Yep, I'm tipping 1 week reduced to nothing with an early plea.

If he quickly throws on a Swans jumper it will probably be considered in play.

Agreed (not the dud bit), but the way the Hawks have been allowed to target a player like that and continually infringe without the umpires doing anything is a disgrace.

Typical Hawthorn "line in the sand" shit! Bunch of dirty thugs, like the Hawks of old!
At least Matthews hit Bruns properly, Lewis too soft to land a big one!

You've never watched a game of ice hockey, have you?
Regardless, cowardly act. See him back about Round 3 or 4 next year.

1 at most (with an early plea), stupid thing to do and i laughed when 4 Hawthorn players all went for Harvey in the first quarter, the smalles t player on the ground, big tough Hawthorn players they were
It will be interesting to see the MRP push themselves this week for an off the ball, high contact cheap shot - or whether they'll do their best to keep Lewis out there. Do Hawk players ever get suspended these days?

thats about likely.
bugger all force, high contact but not much in it. be very unlucky to get anything more than a reprimand.
no worries tho, hawks won't be playin any more games this season judging by their performance so far.

Worse than what Steven Baker did, and he got 4 weeks.
If they are consistent, it will be 5-6 weeks.

Interesting. So your comment doesn't come from ignorance?
That's just not what happens at all though. Top players are very well protected in hockey by 'enforcers'.

Behind play
Intentional
High
Medium/high impact - did drop Harvey
He's gone
cheap shot behind the play minimum 2 weeks. all the hawks ganging up on brent harvey, its pretty low but where are his team mates? archer should be swinging left right and centre

Watch Hawthorn fans quickly lay blame at Harvey for the whole incident, like they always do whenever Hawthorn gets into this type of stuff...
As for Lewis, nothing in it really.. Might get one, but people are talking 6? Get real.

They don't do behind play and in play anymore but I pretty much agree otherwise except for the intentional bit. It seems that for anything to be graded intentional the player would have to hire a billboard in the city centre outlining what they plan to do. I reckon they'll say reckless because he "didn't mean to hit him in the head"

Why?
They gave Baker 4 weeks for the same thing - a high hit of high impact that was reckless.
Except they had no footage, no testimony and no eyewitness.

And now Crawford is getting into the act!
Well at least the Hawks won't have to worry about missing players next week, the umps appear to want to get North through - and the Hawks are being average.
Port would be sitting back laughing about fronting one of these two teams next week!

so i reckon harvey is the toughest man in the game... hits mitch in the face then when sewell and taylor come in he hides behind macintosh...
add three soft free kicks how can he live with himself
im gonna cop it here but man he is a dog of a player
there i said it
Lewis will probably miss a couple of weeks along with whoever punched Hodge in the face.

Hawks went out there trying to be rough. Truth of the matter is they're all cowards.

Mitchell and Hodge get the same treatment week in week out. Good players don't whinge, they just shake the tag. Why don't you watch the replay this afternoon and see who fisted Hodge to the face whilst he was on the ground.

That's why Hodgie is going to the tribunal tonight, to clear his name.
He is talking about the guy who hit Hodge, not who Hodge hit.
