Fair credit to the bombers - your lot have got skills and poise our team can only dream of having right now - even with Hird and Lloyd out. I would have loved PK out there, he has more guts in his left bicep than the rest of the team put together, and he might have made a difference in the last seconds.

By 2 points again, bloody bombers. Such is life. Our effort was a LOT better than last week's debacle against the bullies, and given better skills would have won tonight. These close finishes are doing me head in (3-pt win over kangas, draw vs st kilda, 6 point loss to tigers, tonight....).

Best of luck for the rest of the season, and I hope your injury list gets better soon. It was a great night anyway, and I think Stadium Australia will do just fine as a venue - the atmosphere was up there as long as the crowd is willing to make an effort. Bloody tiny pockets though!! narrow wings, and we STILL always kick out there.. GRRR!!!

cheers, and thanks for the game.

You were way off with your '30 points optomistic' as you called it, prediction. I got closer, only tipped us by 7. :p

One of the luckiest wins I have seen us have. Whilst we led for 95% of the match, I still think we were outplayed for the last 3 quarters. We just had enough poise to grind out a win, but we were extremely fortunate.

Well played Swans. Should have beaten us the last two times.

A game of missed opportunities on both sides, it's fair to say.

Goes some way towards making up for those two games in the mid-nineties....

Whilst the PF was heartbreaking, I legitimately felt that we didn't deserve to be there, and that the years most deserving team progressed. We were imposters.

The one that REALLY hurt was 1997, where we were looking for revenge, and we led all day, only to be pipped by one point AGAIN.

That one was unbearable.

hahaha! Well, we're just getting our own back after a few close one in 96 and 97.
I went up to Sydney in 96 during the season (i think it was the draw), and then in 97 during the season to see us get pipped by a bloody point!:(
I rather like beating the swans by small margins!!:D ;)
