If he does my view will be shaped by the way he goes about it and to a lesser extent his reason(s) for doing so.

If he wants simply to return to Victoria and gives us the opportunity to broker a suitable trade then I would not hold a grudge against him.

If he turns his back on the club and threatens to go in the PSD despite us being raped on a trade, then I will hold a grudge.

Depends on the manner of his exit for mine.
If he does all he can to help WCE on his way then it would be a lot easier to swallow.. though thinking about it recently it's going to burn me up a bit if/when i see him bursting through packs of eagles in another guernsey..

I'd be a lot happier about it if he stayed 1-2 years more. He is still a young guy and not to mention he likely hasn't reached the halfway point of his career yet.. the 'i miss my family/friends' excuse doesn't sit so well with me knowing that.. would really rather he displayed a bit more loyalty then that. He is captain after all, and it's really not a good example for younger players.

I'll miss him a lot for sure but WCE will likely win with whatever is traded.. simple as that really.

My hate will be reserved for Ashley Sampi if he turns his career around at another club.

NO , Judd would always do the right thing for our club and he would think of he got a premiership and achieved what most footballers play there whole careers for and never get. and that was all because we saw a star and picked him up and my self i think he wouldnt have any of that if he went else were.Anyway as much as i want judd to stay now is a perfect chance for us to get some more stars that we need and im sure judd would think the same thing.

Well, people overrate what affect this type of stuff would have on Judd. Odd that players haven't tried it before (successfully). And probably because (a) they can't catch him, and (b) he'd take some knocking over anyway. Sometimes I think people forget how solid he is.

As long as the club was compensated AND

HE DIDN'T GO TO ESSENDON OR COLLINGWOOD:mad::mad::thumbsd:

If he does go I wouldn't be surprised to see him packaged with another player.

Say Judd + Hanson or Staker for Carlton Pick 1,3 and Fev.

I'm over Hanson and how injury prone he is, it probably cost us this final series and will do so again.:(

firstly i've gotta say i wouldn't hate Chris Judd if he left just because hes not as much of a tool as other players and he's done a lot for us.

and that quote above i gotta agree with his injury problems. Friday night killed the eagles playing a player down and then going into extra time, the boys would've been buggered!

In a word NO
True supporters dont forget what certain players have done for our club so to hate him and even boo him would be an absolute disgrace. He has been inspirational and nobody should forget that.

Having said that, IF he does go (although I believe he will stay) and Beau does clean him up at some stage I won't feel any sympathy for him :D

I wont boo him when he comes but I certainly wont cheer him either

Out of any West Coast player I can think of, possibly bar Cox and Wirra, Judd seems the least likely to have an ego problem. Despite having every right to.

One of many reasons id say. Still, I think itd be a pretty low act to leave despite the fact Mark Seaby and Graham both took paycuts along with Cousins to keep him at the club. Massive sign of disrespect I think

I don't think I'd hate him because the guy has given 110% every time he has played.

inclined to agree with you here, this has gone on long enough and the media speculation is now beyond a bloody joke, he either wants to go home or he doesn't. He should just come out and say which one it is then the feeding frenzy or new contract negotiation can begin. Our members deserve a little more than this bullshit that has surrounded the club for the last month or more.

You misunderstand.
You will find most WCE supporters have semi gotten used to the idea of him leaving the club - we know he will probably leave the club someday to go home. Whether its now or in a few years its very likely. I was not neccessarily referring to him leaving now.

will be very hard to deal with especially if he plays a blinder for a few years. depends on how he leaves but if we do get fev, a high draft pick as well as a gun midfielder il be very happy. still it would be very hard to deal with as wce were the ones who gave him a chance as he had a crapload of injuries. ditching us now when we're preparing to make a huge attack on the holy grail would be extremely annoying.

I'm starting to get very irritated by his lack of communication on the matter, he's had plenty of time to end the media speculation and still hasn't done so and I think that's poor form and disrespectful towards our members. This is how i see it and they way i thought of it with the Pav situation. My biggest problem was the thought of watching a game of footy and seeing him in another jumper. A guy that the club had put so much time into all of a sudden running around for someone else. If Pav went to Adelaide or Port, i would avoid watching their games as much as possible.

What, if by some pure miracle we had made our way to the GF? Would he have still told us today? Would he have left? I feel very misled. He would not commit to re-signing his contract, and now we know why....

I think your being a bit unrealistic there. You cant expect him to come out during the season and say "i'm leaning towards going home". Honestly he couldnt have done this any different and it was always going to be messy if he decided to leave. If he was truthful he would have known months ago he was leaving but you cant expect him to say that publicly.

How on earth can you say that?
If this was true, he would have a) had surgery as soon as he hurt his groin this year, rather than busting his gut to try and help the side in their premiership aspirations, b) came off in the grand final last year as soon as he hurt his shoulder. He would have and did bleed for the eagles.

On the topic of grand finals, he won the norm smith in 2005 and the only reason he didn't win it last year was that his name is chris judd. Had anyone else played that game they would have won the medal for sure. You would not have won without him last year. Judd got you a premiership, not the other way around.

Mate, Judd went at three instead of higher up because of his injuries. I highly doubt that if WC hadn't picked him with that pick he would have gone undrafted.

Every club in Victoria is going to be fighting for Judd. You WILL be well compensated for him. I can appreciate how frustrated and annoyed you must all be, but WC has been very very well served by Judd.

Thank God there are a few non-eagles fan here to talk a bit of sense.
I'm absolutely shattered that he's chosen to leave, but I'm not bitter. I honestly believe this wasn't about the money and I don't think he necessarily should have handled it differently (should have said so earlier in the year? should have waited more time? it's as though your just searching for a criticism).
You know what's far worse than leaving your club? Character assassinations behind the safety of a monitor. Some of you are truly pathetic.

But I will hold no grudge against him, he is a great player and has been awesome for us. I can't imagine what its like being under the pressure he has been over the last 2 seasons. Wish him all the best in his career, which could still be one of the greatest ever witnessed.
