* What are the odds of playing Judd's team in a Round 1 blockbuster at Subi?
* Is Judd the only Eagle to be traded in his deal?
* Do we give his no.3 jersey to someone next year or hold it over?
* Is this up there with the Carey 2002 incident as the most shocking moment of all time?
* When did he decide this?

:thumbsd:The fact that he refused to talk about a new contract leads me to believe he has known for quite some time.

He told his manager Thursday night he wanted out.

And I was thinking he would be playing us Round 1 too... :mad:

Tell you one random thought that has come to mind while I'm sitting here feeling crap......and I don't mean this at all flippantly....I am actually thankful I'm a footy fan, not a rally fan today.

#3 gets held over, for mine. It's too raw to see it next season.

Can't form opinions about anything else, my brain's gone to mush. I feel worse than I did after the 2005 GF.

Judd now belongs in a very small club. Captains who have walked out on their clubs.

We're not the Dockers. I would like to think that we have a bit more class than that.

Far from it.

Cousins incident is probably the closest.

We're not in the same class as the Dockers. I would like to think that we would throw water bottles and pies. :thumbsu:

Edited for accuracy. :cool:

Why would you hold back a player's number when that player that only gave 6 years service to a club, and then walks out.

I'm feeling a mixed bag of emotion at the moment

:mad::eek::(:mad::eek::(

1) I hate Chris Judd at the moment for leaving *cough* I mean Chris you "were" our captain and have just left :(

2) I love Chris Judd because he is the best player and has done ssssooooo much for the Eagles

3) Pissed off

4) Shattered

5) I hope we don't get jipped some how and get nothing in the draft/trade time

6) It won't be the same next year without Juddy

7) on the other hand - no player is as big as the club

8) chris just wants to be near his mummy and daddy

9) thanks to the vics at our club who have stayed

10) ALL OF THE ABOVE ROLLED INTO ONE - IM GOING TO GO HIDE UNDER A ROCK NOW

So, it`s happened, yet the sky is still up there, the sun still came up this morning and will again tomorrow.

Chris Judd is not and never has been the WCE, he is, or was, just one small part of the entire picture. Gotta say that I`m not shattered or even a little surprised cos I NEVER had the feeling that he even liked my club, let alone loved it. My most enduring image of the aftermath of the Grand Final is a huge picture of a forced semi smile from our much vaunted captain, no love there.

So, he will be off the greener pastures, fair enough we have served our purpose for him, but no tears from this brown hen.

As the song says........we shall survive.

Im happy hes going

1) No player is worth 1 mill. If he signed on the likes of Nicoski Butler and IMO it would of unsettled the playing list
2) We get to fix a weakness
3) Priddis is a elite midfielder who can take his place.
4) Judd is a selfish individual. Bout time we weeded these types out and re established a better club culture
5) Cox becomes captain which he should of got since day 1 of Cousins giving it up
6) Fevola at Subi will kick 100

Yes in hindsight he never seemed to show any feeling for the club. Like you said he didn't even look happy lifting up the premiership cup after a 1 point win in a Grand final, FFS.

I always put it down to putting on his professional face but I think the reality is that either he is a perpetual sad sack or he just didn't appreciate playing for West Coast.

Yeah exactly - #4 and #9 are a bit silly at times but they would do anything for our great club.

I think as Kerry is my sponsored player for 07 - ill go with him

I would have been more pissed if Cousins, Kerr, Cox or Glass wanted to leave - they blead west coast

However there are a number of positives to come out of this

Hurn, Butler, Priddis will all get more gametime and more importantly 'on the ball' game time

Whatever club takes him, will have to give us something very good in return

Carlton = Fevola + pick 3
Melbourne = TJ + pick 4 or Brock Mclean + pick 4
Richmond = Pick 2 + who ever we want

*these are just suggestions

By getting a high draft pick , we can get one of Palmer or Morton [who won't ditch our club] + we get a bloody good player/s

We'll come out of this very well
