The minnows are gone and every game from here should be reasonably competitive, although the bookies don’t agree with me. Surprisingly not much experimentation with lineups in the early games, with only England (Kirtley for Anderson) and Pakistan (Tanvir for Hafeez) making unforced changes between their two games. Anderson will probably get another go today in place of Kirtley and Gibbs may return for South Africa, while McMillan, Kapali, Ntini, Wright would feel somewhat under pressure to hold their spots if selectors do start swinging the axe as the tournament progresses.

We can't underestimate the Bangas after what happened against Zimbabwe. They also beat Windies and gave South Africa a run for their money so it's gonna be a tough game.

We're gonna find this game tough - the Bangers are in with a real show here. I do think we'll take it seriously enough to win though :)

Aussies won the toss and elected to bat.

Are they too scared to bat first now?

OzBomber
16 Sep 2007, 22:10
Omg, the coverage doesn't start for another 45 minutes. They have some gay show on. They're retards. Streams for me. :)

Haha CH9 are showing it delayed :p

Bangers batting like crap, if it was for Clarke being such a shit bowler they would be struggling to go at 6 an over, need to start playing some big shots

Nice work by Lee, great hattrick :thumbsu: We might be able to restrict them to less than 130 now.

OzBomber
16 Sep 2007, 23:14
That looked like it may have been sliding down leg. But the finger was raised.

Oooh, 4 wickets in 5 balls. but 1 was a free hit.

Nonetheless, it's Binga's 2nd hatty.

Let's go back in time and visit his last one.

Of course not - after the hat trick Lee bowls a no ball, meaning a free hit

OzBomber
16 Sep 2007, 23:20
Oh god. That's 2 wickets from free hits. But I guess they will go the slog on the free hit. :p

Great Hodge by Hodge. I mean, great catch by Hodge.

He got under that quite well. In the sun as well. :)

OzBomber
16 Sep 2007, 23:24
What a catch next ball from Hussey. And now bracken is on a hattric. Can he take it?

OzBomber
16 Sep 2007, 23:25
Oooh, gets bat on that. I reckon if he missed it, he was plumb.

Gillys on song tonight. Sixes galore!

4 sixes I think.

Now he's run out. He played a nice innings. He's running into some form. It may be T20, but he's still in some sort of form which is good for the summer.

OzBomber
17 Sep 2007, 00:35
Game over. Simple convincing victory. Highlight is Binga's hattrick and Hayen's 73. He's in good form. Gilly is starting to hit some form as well.

LOL, yeah whatever. Was never missing for line, only question was height.

That's out at least 9 times out of 10.

True, now that I look at it, it is plumb. First thought was it may have been sliding down.

Albie Morkel now has the longest six of the tournament with his blow that went out of the ground and onto the railway tracks in Newlands. And the second longest as well.
