Although I didnt mention it at the time, mid-season before Judd fell I made the observation that we looked TOO Judd contious.
We were ignoring better options to go to Judd.
With him gone I think that Cousins/Kerr will continue to dominate and Priddis/Stenglien/Rosa/Nicoski/Hurn will rise like hell.
Is it for the better??
Thoughts?

no...it's not for the better.
It's a black eye on our club that the supposed Captain is walking away for whatever reason.

Should never have been named captain. I say good riddance, now we will have cousins and kerr leading the midfield and i'm all for that.
it is a dark day
end of story
While it is dissapointing its not the end of the world.
We have a very good young group of players who will burning to show they aren't just a one player team.
All pre-season they are going to hear "can you win it without Judd?"
Imagine how that will spur them on.
Top 4 again baby :thumbsu: No injuries though thanx :p

Could be a better team in the long run, sad to see the great man go:mad:
So when will everybody be changing their usernames?
Surely you can't be on a West Coast board with Juddysthebestiwannasukimoff as a name anymore.

Good riddance?
Get over it.
What do you expect? I'm not surprised at all. You've got up to 10 players on the gear bringing the name of the club down and everyone is now shocked that our #1 player wants out.
I don't blame him.
WCE have brought this on themselves for turning a blind eye to all of the crap that has been going on for years and we're now starting to pay for it.
I wish him the best of luck, as long as he doesn't tear us up in the future.

Geez West Coast can really pick their leaders can't they?
Cousins - substance abuse
Judd - misses home too much

to be fair, we are not the only club with an ex-captain that has had substance abuse issues

Yeah, fair point but we have had 2 consecutive captains who haven't put the team first.

Conners:
“He didn’t want to be captain of the West Coast Eagles. But I think he realised after the whole Cousins incident, he was the best man to do it. He didn’t necessarily want to do it, but he thought he was the best man to do it."
That just really pissed me off, we had a captain that really wasnt a captain. No wonder we fell apart this year.

Cox, Glass or Embley could have easily been the captain. Judd is definitely an opportunist, he doesn't miss a trick.
