02:30 PM GF1 Adelaide Lutheran 12.19 91 v 19.14 128 Fitzroy
Great win by the boys, going into the game as underdogs & not letting the Lutherans get a jump on us as in the past couple. Great man on man accountability & of course Benny Harts 11 helped seal the victory.
Been a while between drinks but in throwing the 2004 monkey off our backs Fitzroy led all day & withstood a last quarter comeback that scared the shit out of the supporters. 9 goal to one 3rd quarter did'nt hurt either.
Big night in the clubrooms, closed at 10am from what I hear, off to the Sponsors pub & most of the boys ended up at Adelaide Oval for the SANFL finals. The free kegs on this arvo.
Big effort from the 1st year coach ''Lethal'' Lee Penrose, was at the club Friday night presenting 100 game jumpers to the juniors, appreciated.
