Besides the obvious ( Chris Judd )
I feel we must target the following 2 players
during trade week as they will both help our
structure.
Goose Maguire - Exactly what we need to settle our defence and help with the learning curve that Jamison, Bower and others are going through.
Brad Symes - I have seen a fair bit of him over here in the SANFL and he looks a great fit for us off half back and should seriuosly look at him.
Thoughts ???

I really like Symes but how many half back flankers do we want? Goose would be a great get.

True. I love Goose. Would be a great asset. Might free Setanta up to be a bit more of a Utility, and Waite could player forward more. Symes sounds like a prospect too, they'll look at him in a trade involving with a Jordan Russel

Any thoughts on who or what we would give?
Goose hasn't been the same since his leg break, I wouldn't really want to lose a hell of a lot....

The best thing about symes is that he is hard at it and will hold down a hbf for years to come giving us the chance to play scotland, walker and
houlihan up the ground more instead of in defence.

I would probably give up Russel for Symes and maybe we could swap some later picks with port as i think they really rate Russel.
Any chance of getting Goose in the PSD, as he is reluctant to sign with
the saints.
They only problem there is Richmond.

Can't see it being an active trade week at all, with the Judd talks going on. Can't see us dealing with anyone else if we're in the running to get Judd, until that particular trade has been completed.

Hopefully the Judd trade is done early becasue otherwise it may be an absolute stalemate. Having said that, if as he said today, he nominates which club he wants to go to then the two clubs will have a while before draft week to figure things out.
Matt Maguire would look great in a Carlton jumper. I woulder if any offer from the club has been put to his management?

Trust me, we really rate Symes, he's a fav in the Magery this year for good reason. Just unfortunate for him that Peter Burgoyne, Wilson and Surjan have all played well down back...
Russel didnt wanna come last year, he wanted to up his contract like many do....

Pick 3, 20 and Kennedy/Bower to the Eagles for Chris Judd
Throw the kitchen sink at Maguire to get him to walk into the PSD
Russell to Port for Symes
And if the Eagles will take a deal for Judd without us including pick 20, give pick 20 to the Cats for Prismall.
