If Judd wants to come to Carlton?
Why do we not deal with Richmond and give them a player to pick up in the PSD.
Then we can get Judd in the PSD and keep picks 1 and 3.
Ie release Kennedy into the PSD .....Richmond Draft Kennedy and then Carlton gets Judd. Obviously Richmond would have to agree to the deal.
Win for Carlton, Get Judd for a cut price rate and Richmond get a player for nothing.....

Or West Coast could screw us and Richmond over by taking a bottom of the barrel deal with a Melbourne etc. This is a buyers market and Carlton will be very much involved with the eventual happenings surrounding Judd. I can't see Carlton losing out with Hughes, Icke, Pratt, Ratten and Swann behind the steering wheel.

Cannot understand why some Carlton supporters seem so relaxed about losing Kennedy. I felt he showed enough in the last part of the season to suggest he will be a really good player at worst and a dominant player for at least 10 years at best.
This is true.
This trade would be pick 3,4 and 20 for Judd.

Someone with a bit of sense! JK will be an absolute freak, can't wait to see him thrive under Ratts...
Definitely don't wanna lose him. I still stand by giving the coasters picks 3 and 20, and perhaps Bower. If they asked for more I'd say no thanks. We can't afford to set this footy club back years by throwing the kitchen sink at Juddy.

I saw him crash a number of packs and mark, Carey, Brown like, in the VFL one day and kick 5. VFL or not, they were powerful grabs and gave me an inkling of what he may have in a year or 2. On the other hand we're on the verge of getting Judd so we need to get the deal over the line. We're talking a gun vs potential. And if that's what it takes, and I hope it doesn't, well, so be it. I'm hoping to get the deal done with Bower with picks 3 and 20 if necessary.

Agree completely, Judd is an absolute gun, but we will be contenders without him anyway. His addition would probably just fast-track the team by a year or 2. We have to be firm with what we offer, 3, 20 and Bower is pretty fair compensation for the Eagles given that he has quit the club regardless.
