Well done Hawks
I think we are also the only team to be undefeated against the Cats this year.

Well done Hawks
I think we are also the only team to be undefeated against the Cats this year.

There was a few teams who beat Geelong. Us and the other one i can remember is Port.

I would have loved to see Hawks have a crack at Geelong in week 1 of finals.. And I am fairly confident that we would have put in a much better effort than Kangas yesterday..

In hindsight it will be better that Hawks didnt reach the Grand Final yet..Keep the young list hungry and go one (maybe two) steps better next year!! :thumbsu:

I said at the start of the year we can only really say we've moved fwd when we beat some of the following teams who either rag-dolled us over the years or had our measure due to a more experienced line up.

WC
Syd
Adel
StK
Kangas
Coll
Bris
WB

Beat them all bar Syd and continued our streak against the Cats.

Massive improvement:thumbsu:

Argh don't say that I'm still going through the healing process!

Rather trade in beating them, to have won against Kangas in the semi

We beat all teams in the top 4 as well, but it counted for nothing in the finals which was disappointing.

I think it's as much executing the correct style against a given opponent as 'luck of the draw'.

Some game style's work well with different teams. While, catching a team during a 'flat patch' can easily produce a win.

On 2 out of the three occassions Hawthorn met North this year I think we didn't turn up to play or were completely off our game, thus North always looked the better team.

Converseley, St Kilda were beaten by Hawthorn in our first encounter, while a number of their players were injured. The second meeting, they had a full strength squad and full of confidence. It was also a period after the Adelaide loss where we were slipping in form.

This has nothing to do with the topic.. lol! :o
