What superstitions & traditions do you have?

Hey gang.
Just wondering what sort of superstitions/traditions everyone out there carries with them in the week leading up to the game and on match day - I've seen a lot of folks talking about omens and such (dead kangaroos by the highway before the north game etc)...Plenty of supporters on here talking about things they will/wont do before a match because they don't want to 'mozz' the club...What are yours?

For me - I always have to wear my prized geelong guernsey to a match - even if it's filthy it gets wheeled out.
Not really a superstition, but more of a tradition, my best mate and I always hit the Barwon Club before a home game in Geetown for beers and the best damn chips and gravy in town...

Well I got a black cat for Christmas last year and I called him "Jimmy Bartel".

So every morning before the game I have a quiet word with him about what I'm wishing for the day and rub my Jimmy Bartel badge on him and it seems to work!!!

Yes I know I sound like a psycho but I don't really care!!!!

Lie in bed until about half an hour before the game, I always watch the game in the lounge room (I've watched every game, except the Port one which we lost, in there) and I make sure both my cats, Milly & Corey, are inside.

It's weird, but I never watch the opening bounce. I close my eyes and count in my head until I know the game has started. :)

I've got this grey homey beanie that I purchased the Friday before Round 6. I've worn it 100% of game time of every game we have won since that famous Richmond match.

During the Port game, I threw the beanie in anger when Gaz was carried off with that knee injury while at the same time we were 3 goals down. With Bartel, Ling and Selwood out, I began to feel the season was starting to unravel!:rolleyes:

So the beanie must be worn during the whole game!!

There I things that I musn't wear:
- Geelong socks
- Geelong um, underwear
- Any sort of Geelong jewellery - wristbands etc

I wore all those last year and we had a shit season, and haven't worn any of that this year!

I also have to have my lucky clash jumper with me. If I'm not wearing it, it has to come to the game anyway.

only thing i wear is the old geelong socks. only time i didnt wear them this yr was when they were in the wash for the port game! so, im wearin em this wk dont u worry!

for the last couple of weeks i have also listened to the song classical gas by mason williams b4 i leave 4 the game. just helps me visualise cripple (harley) holding up the cup with bomber!
