Being their centenary year next year a few quality ex belly boys have put their hand up to come back. Time will tell, have a good loyal bunch of locals and most of this years mercenaries would not be hard to replace from the games i saw this year.

Any news on how Powelly are shaping up for next year. Will need a massive influx of players to improve on last year. Apparently the only 2 big guys they had have called it quits, one through to much travel and the other through a shattered ego after another woeful year.

Half of them were only getting a game in the two's as well which led to a few of them buggering off. The rest were servicable senior players at best, a couple were well and truly past their prime.

Shall do mate, nguyen was playing some good footy for the first half of the year before succumbing to an ankle injury which didnt recover, knotty played every now and then, handfield no idea who that is, pretty sure he didnt play at all, or alimovsky, same didnt play, nussbuam, was in and out of the side and nasrallah, had a reason to leave. it is hard though for these blokes as they dont live close at all.

None of the above are playing at Belgrave including McArthur who will be back from a knee. We are all heading to Mt Waverley. Coach Connolly is at Port Melbourne. We can't follow him there. I have spoken to a few boys that are leaving Belgrave and they said that there are some great blokes there, but the Committee are crap!

A bunch of gonnas and the l forgot, the worst ground in the league.

The President is a Power tripper who no one likes and is one of the main reasons for the exodus!

I can tell you good authority that a few of those ex Parkmore players left during last season due to the poor condition of the ground and also the distance of the opposition clubs.

Perhaps your name says it all - why havent you raised these issues in house if there was such a problem. My thoughts are initially that you are one of those guys that thinks its always someone elses fault why you didnt get an opportunity or something happened that affected you.

Perhaps if there is such a problem, quality peopel would raise the issue and try and sort it out, but wait I don't think too many of the Parkmore clan had the best interests of a club at hand, more interested in moving where the money is!!!

My two bobs worth anyway and Belgrave have a good replacement in Darren Sidebottom as coach too.

Handfield went to Black Rock, played on a wing and won a Div 3 SFL Flag. I heard Mount Waverley are getting quite a few from some other Waverley club too. Considering they only lost the SFL GF by one point without these recruits, their team will be harder to get into in 2008 you'd think.
