Isnt it amazing for a team who finished 15th to have so many people hating them and scared they are going to do good next season and be a good team in the future.
With Judd wating to go to Carlton it seems as though we are the new place to be.
Just wondering also what you think our best 22 will look like next season.
mine is..assuming we lose pick3,20 and kennedy for judd.

just forgot to add my onballers
I really hope Waite is not used in the backline.
He was by far a better player last season when used up forward.
A good match-up on Riewoldt though. :thumbsu:

Don't expect Kreuzer to be playing first ruck anytime soon.

How about we give them #3, #20 Holla we will throw in Ackland, Saddington as sweeteners that way they get 5 for the price of 1. And by the way it is mean to be tounge in cheek, but year I think #3, #20 and Holla ... Kennedy loves Carlton and he does not want to go to Perth we need more guys like him at the club to breed loyalty and a new winning, loyal culture.

Getting rid of Kennedy would be a huge mistake for Carlton. I know Judd is going to be a HUGE plus for the team, but KPP are as rare as horse rocking s*it.
His going to be a very good centre half forward type, at 197cm he is a big boy and would develop nicely again next year. He is our only geniune centre half forward in our team, our structure just doesnt look any good without Kennedy there. I hope we just offer them 3 and 20 and Bower as a sweetner.
By all reports Bower wants to go home and Kennedy wants to stay. We should honor people like Kennedy to wear the navy blue.
Anyways I'm sure no one quite agrees, so I'll stop talking up Kennedy.

Nah I agree with you we should honor guys like Kennedy who love the club and bleed for the club. I for one want him to stay I am pissed of that his name is being tossed around like so much shit around here, he should never have been brought up in these trade discussions. I hope he stays guys who are loyal like him are worth their weight in gold.

the best thing about this line-up is the amount of flexability in has. who would have thought we might need to put our B&F on-baller in to the back pocket? all good signs.
Homer Simpson for Lance

Everyone is underestimating the job Carrazzo did last year.
he was our best centre square/clearance player and will stay there
He is ahead of Murph at this stage in being able to win the footy at stoppages
WC always had players blocking for Judd ans Carlton will need to work on tactics to block the taggers who will go to Stevo and Judd.
Carrots has the strong body to do this

Our midfield rotation will be dynamite: Judd, Stevens, Murphy, Simpson, Gibbs, Carrazzo, Walker.
Our forward line will also be good with Fisher leading up the ground and Waite, Hampson and Fev being three talls within the forward 50.
Our backline doesn't look too shabby either... Bit of experience amoungst Thornton, Scotland, Walker & Carrazzo. Jamo to put on 5kgs over summer and Carlos with another season under his belt!! We already saw what he has got this year and he is versatile and can drift forward or back.
This team has versatility, youth and a bit of hardness about it and for the first time in a long time, it is very hard to put your best 22 on paper.
I can't wait til next year already!!! :D

We need to get another small forward - have Kennedy (or Waite, if we trade JK), Fev and Fisher as the talls, Betts and another crumber as the smalls, and Gibbs/Russell as the lead-up HFF. Waite has been better in the forwardline, but if he can consistently play like he did against Riewoldt, then he'll be a great asset - throw him back to shut down the athletic talls, throw him forward to add that game-breaking X-factor, put him on a wing and let him mark everything, etc.

Carrazzo is not a backliner. Don't understand why people are mentioning this. I think Carrazzo's job this year will not be trying to rack up 35 possesions a game (of which i believe he needs to do more damage with) but will have to work on freeing up and protecting Judd at the stoppages.

If we construct a deal with the Tigers (we give them #3, they give us #18) I would like us to draft a CHB back type, perhaps a Tayte Pears, the best small crumber i think we might have a chance at getting at #20 is Adam Maric - small forward freak!

Action Jackson, almost forgot about him. we may need him to smother the gunns of other teams. we cant have all attacking players in the team we need to have a balance. could action man be our balance?

Good side ,but I want to see Wite on the wing where he would really worry the opposition in both defense and attack. Therefore my team is;
Scotland Hartlett Thornton
Jamison O'hAilpen Russell
Walker Stevens Waite
Fisher Whitnall Gibbs
Cloke Fevola Betts
R: Ackland, Judd, Murphy

Not having a go at you, as everyone is doing weird backlines but those players (excluding Scotland who plays as an attacking defender) are all over 190cm.
It's way to tall, we would get killed for another year against Farmer, Didak type of small forward. Make no mistake our defense is still the biggest concern with not a lot of experience between the FB and CHB.
My backline would look something like.
B: Anderson, Jamison, Thornton
HB: Bower, S O'hAilpin, Scotland
with Walker possibly to be rotated in there as our midfield looks pretty deep now.
