This is born from what i believe is poor recruiting, probably not one of hawks strong points for a long time to current. please lets not hear the catch cry (young hawks 2008). This might actually see if clarkson & co has a plan b let alone plan c, but this might put them in the right direction can't be any worse at least.(by the way i am a paid up member times 5.)
we need in 08 better coverage for injuries, players under 27 or 80- 150 games.(no more than 3) but specifically fullback and at least one quick mid/wing no secrets their. target nathan carrol, brian harris,adam mcphee etc etc. who wouldn't come to hawks in their position. how offer ????

You obviously didn't read Pelchins speech in Canberra. Murphy and Muston are going nowhere.
Moss considering he has already played and is developing likewise is going nowhere.
Clarke, injured this year and in the leadership group, hardly potential to leave.

please what can we do too improve this list? as i see it we can't win with what we are currenly running with, any suggestions?.
How about you just ease up on your expectations?
This was pretty much Ellis' first season, spent last year with a broken foot, doing year 12 and playing school football. He is still very light, lets wait untill his 4th or 5 th season before you grill him.
Renouf is a ruckman only drafted last year and Rucks take a while to develop, he had only played in the preseason and your ready to critique him?
Pelchen has huge wraps for Morton and says he is ahead of Dowler with out even debuting in the seniors, and was said to debut next season so once again lets wait ;).
Garry Moss....Did you see his first game in W.A??? I did, and he was impressive! He was pushed out from returning seniors but I believe his debut was enough to keep him ahead of the likes of Ellis. He is also very light but was very impressive in his debut and even got thrown in the centre temporarily. I love Mossy, captain of the W.A. state team a real hard worker with a good head on him. The bloke would write words like intensity on his arm before the championship games to remind him on areas to focus in his game and is a class act.
Dowler..... the dude shattered his pelvis, is low on confidence and is a key position player. Key Position players take a while to develop let alone having such a damaging injury coming into his first year.
The pre 04 list is pretty weak naturally so I wouldnt stress to much. But for 05 and 06 I think you need to be more patient, they are just KIDS. Not every player gets the chances like Thomas to play week in and out and develop in the seniors, and not every play is like Marc Murphy and dominate in their first year. I am very happy with our list, you just are too critical and are not patient enough to let kids develop. Renouf and Ellis will be 200 game players for us, and I hope Mossy will join that list!

I have been a paid member for over 30 years i have seen the good the bad and just plain ugly, some of us hawk supporters need to take the blinkers off a bit, you only have to look at Box Hill to see the side should have developed further then it has. Look at Coburg and before that Geelong both sides went to the finals in the VFL where did Box Hill finish with all these young kids.

agree with some of your thoughts but some is nonsense.
Trade Bait Jacobs Boyle Osborne if they are wanted by other clubs.
Delist-Thurgood and Dawson (2 year deal...WTF) Both just not up to it.
If anyone thinks we are moving in the right direction by playing Tim Clarke ahead of anyone is dreaming.
