Not getting a senior game at the cats but is young and can seriously help us out in the backline... question would be who to give up for him....... thoughts????

That was exactly my first thought. :) and then came the fact he can't play.

He's worth very little as he can't get a senior game and may be delisted anyway.

And why would we need a big slow forward any way?

Will do nothing for our team.

I will join Al Qaeda and strap on dynamite if we traded for Bradley, Playfair or any other player in the game as pathetic as these two.

There is a reason that Port beat Geelong in Round 21 (take out the loss of Bartel), Playfair played...No way

Playfair would have been in the Cats next best 5 or 6 outside their premiership 22. Given the strength of their list and lack of injuries, it puts him probably inside our best 22.

Don't be so narrow minded. He would be a handy pick-up, and given a fresh start with new opportunities, could give Gilham and Croad some good support. I'd rather have him than Danny Jacobs.

NB - Port fans would have been saying the same about David Rodan 12 months ago.....

Rodan is a damn site different to Playfair. It was commonly acknowleded that he could play (two Morrish medals don't mean nothing) but also concerns from everybody including Williams about how his small frame and lack of form since knee would fit into modern AFL.

Playfair is totally different as he has not had the major injury problem, nor is his body not unique to football. His probloem is that he is soft and was lucky to escape above McCarthy last year. If we were to look at a Geelong player it should be Tim Callan who has not got a chance becasue of three out and out defenders in front of him. And with Lonergan coming back we chould target him, not pea heart

Playfair, very average- will end up playing his career at Geelong VFL.

Playfair was very good for Geelong in 2005, then he BROKE HIS LEG and was one of the blokes that went down injured in the semi versus the Swans. If thats not a major injury worry, what is?

Can hold down KP forward or back and was very very good in their VFL side this year, thats why they picked him in Round 21 (where he was made a scapegoat, after he got a hospital pass surrounded by Port players and coughed it up in a tackle)

He may not get picked up by the Hawks, but he will be picked up by someone.

I stand corrected, still think a better Geelong target would be Callan but the the Dogs look to ahve him stiched up, another case of an unproven Geelong player going half way back to Melbourne

Just take him, we'll throw in a draft pick as a sweetener. Nothing needed in return. :)

I don't believe he wold be a good pickup for Hawthorn, but the Dogs, Blues and Saints could all use him.

gee that is a little bit of a landslide ....... NO. is the call and I think that is very narrow minded. foresight is mightier than hindsight and I can see him being very servicable wherever he lands. Just remember the vision our club had with G,Ablett way back then. Now he's two boys are going places too and this only happened because SHORT minded individuals were not prepared to give a player time to develop..BEFORE some of you jump up and down and say this bloke is no ablett...... remember ablett was supposed to be crap too when we as a club said "you are no longer required. SORRY you are NOT GOOD ENOUGH"
