Wanna show me where it says he wants to leave, i dunno why a go that signed a new deal 2 months ago would all of a sudden want to leave.
And Davis for Schammer?? Keep dreaming.

I'm not a fan. Schammer's disposal by foot is dodgy.

He signed a 2 year deal about 3 months ago. Don't think he's going anywhere, unless it's for a deal we can't refuse... and Leon Davis aint that.

HAHAHA do you think Schammer has more trade value then Davis your the one that is dreaming if you think that.

Its just what i have heard that Freo are unhappy with him and he is unhappy at Freo

We should all know by now that contracts mean nothing these days.

Great call IP, Neon's m o is kicking a freak goal when we need it, not to mention he was NO1 for tackles in the forward half of the ground this year. Schammer's m o is to hit an opposition player on the chest. Leon Davis not worth Byron Schammer....you got that right.

If you had of said davis had more trade value prior to this year i would have laughed at you but he was a different player in 2007. Played further up the ground than usual, probably his best season in the black and white.

Davis wouldnt be the right fit for a Schammer trade, we already have farmer and a young bloke who pretty much plays the davis game to a tee (clayton collard). If you want Schammer, will cost you second round pick or Goldsack

Yehh i have to agree with you pistol. Prior to this year Schammer would have had more value than Davis, however, Davis has been able to put together a consistent season playing further up the ground. I doubt a direct swap for Schammer would eventuate and i doubt that the club is showing interest in him but you could probably get a second rounder for him from someone interested.

Goldsack for Schammer is a no-go-zone though mate.

You can keep him then. He only played 7 games this year.

And besides, Thomas needs his step ladder every time we play your perennial under-achievers.

He only had the most tackels because Farmer was missing for half the year :p

I don't think theres room for davis and Farmer otherwise we'd still have medhurst

Schammer had a hugely interupted season with complication with his appendix removal. I think he lost something like 13kg (could be wrong). Schammer will bounce back next year

Someone was saying a while ago in another thread that if someone has signed a contract they're not allowed to break it within the first 6 months or something, is that true?

Exactly ...... players under contract are often traded

its often also the reason they do get traded...

to avoid a re-negotiation with a bloke they dont see in their plans and also its better than delisting as you'd have to pay out the player.

but with trades, as long as a club picks up their salary and the player accepts the trade its all good.

so yeah you're right contracted players do get traded.

and let's not forget an example like woewodin when he came to the pies and the demons were still paying a fair bit of his contract!

Wood obviously is our main target and we will all be satisfied if we land him by the end of trade week, however it would be good work if we got Schammer as well. I don't know about offering a second rounder for him but perhaps a direct player swap with one of our WA boys could eventuate? Maybe throw in a 3rd rounder as a sweetener.

Don't touch Schammer he is a turn over merchant.

I would be happy with this

Wood with our first round pick

Schammer with our second

Draft a player with our third round

Then we have jaxon with our fourth round

That leaves us having recruited an inside mid, ruckman and an outside mid leaving us with the abilitys to pick maybe a back, ruck or another mid.

Schammer unfortunately for him, aint going anywhere. Absolute gun though.

FWIW,

Schammer >>>> Thomas >>> Our other youngsters bar Goldsack and Pendlebury

Wood = 1st Round
Schammer = 2nd Round
3rd Round Dawson Simpson/Ruckman Hopefully some how upgrade a 3rd round pick with a fringe player
4th Round Jaxson Bahram

Schammer is OK but would not trade Leon for him. He is very much still unproven and in the shows potential category.

now that i have said i would like schammer the only problem i can see is that we would only be drafting 2 kids, although we will have 2 other players with 10 or sao years in them. we would then maybe have to let a lonie go to sydney for a second rounder or something. The youth system seems to work pretty well so we should stick with that.

You know how you are all saying that he has resigned with the dockers, that wasn't under Conolly was it because if so Harvey may want to let him go.

CC everytime you post you post garbage. How can you obviously say that Schammer is better than Thomas? Do you have rocks in your head? I rate Schammer but i'd pick Thomas over him everyday of the week.

If you read the Hun article saying some clubs had asked about Schammer ...just say that.
