I think the question that needs to be asked is where were you this year or more specifically, did you hang out with the mob down the road at any point in time?

so yeah looks to me like a troll (and a very ill informed troll at that) using a proxy account.

How's the Ghetto?
You've got to get out of the hole that is Rockingham.
What do they teach you at school, how to make weapons out of plastic objects?

Yeah...hopefully getting out soonish. Just gotta sort out stuff (eg. debt to tax department :o didn't say I was under 18 at the time it was lodged) and then I'm right to go :D
Ahahaa and as for weapons with plastic objects...I'm guessing schools don't need to teach that. I remember making pea shooters out of those plastic wind ups. Every school I went to do it (wasn't just in Rockingham, all over Australia actually).
You are so luck I can't slap you right now :p
i agree, where has longmuir been all year?

Besides the initial posters ignorance, what is the status for JLos playing career, is it over? He has been mentioned as a ruck coach for 2008, but what about beyond? I would say he's pretty much gone if he can't come back next year.

CCarlton sacks Lance Whitnall
13 October 2007 Herald Sun
Mark Robinson and Tim Morrissey
LANCE Whitnall's career at Carlton is over. The Blues sacked Whitnall after 11 years and 179 games in a stunning decision made yesterday by new coach and the forward's former teammate Brett Ratten.
Whitnall, who completed a time-trial with teammates at Princes Park earlier in the day, was said to be devastated last night.
Whitnall's manager Ricky Nixon worked feverishly yesterday to convince the Blues coaching staff the 2007 captain deserved another year.
It's believed Nixon told Whitnall, 28, of the club's decision last night.
Ratten and football manager Steven Icke last night flew out to Europe to visit soccer giants Manchester United and Juventus after telling Whitnall of their decision.
Carlton chief executive Greg Swann said today a medical report convinced the Blues that Whitnall's troublesome knee would not stand up to another season.
"What we've said is we think that his capacity to play is limited because of his knee," Swann told Southern Cross Radio. "Lance is not convinced about that."
Swann said the Blues were not prepared to nurse Whitnall, who had post-season knee surgery, through a "compromised" pre-season campaign.
"In this day and age you have to be 100 per cent to be able to do everything or otherwise you just get left behind," Swann said.
Swann said Ratten and Icke met Whitnall yesterday to run through a few scenarios, which could include retirement, continuing his career via the pre-season draft or taking up an off-field role at Carlton.
"Lance is going away and have a bit of a think about it. He may well decide that he can keep on going and, you know, chase a career elsewhere or he might retire," Swann said.
"There's some options still to remain at the club in a different capacity."
Whitnall won last year's best-and-fairest award but for probably the past five years has had to battle weight problems in the off-season and, this year, a knee injury.
Nixon did not believe Whitnall's knee condition would end his career.
"Everyone's known that Lance has had bone-on-bone for probably four or five years," Nixon told Southern Cross Radio.
"But a lot of players play with it. (St Kilda's) Nick Riewoldt has had bone-on-bone since year one in the AFL. Some people are able to cope with it, some have it worse.

I'd hazard a guess that Lances knee problem was due to his weight, the heavier you are, the quicker the knee wears out. Though if you are adding a lot of muscle around the knee area to support it (the extra weight), it usually isn't so bad, when it's mostly fat you're adding, it is.
Most people (in public) don't really know the true extent of JLos knee problem, I'd like to know how serious it is.

Serious enough to miss pretty much a seasons worht of actuall games the last couple of years. He has struggled for (consistent) impact in games for the last three years.

Bone on bone did M.Voss in and closer to home I think it did in ben allen well before his time.
Lance's weight would wouldn't have helped his cause over the years but getting thru a game isn't the issue it's not being able to train consistently - hence you are falling behind the pack thru fitness and touch

IF Justin isn't coming back (ie his knee is just that buggered) and IF we have room to move in the salary cap, is it worth delisting him to create the extra space on the list - to retain Haddrill or Browne, to draft one extra or to pick up Kepler B in the PSD?
So what I'm saying is - we pay J'Lo for next year as he is under contract, but he doesn't take up a spot on the list. And only if we're sure that his days are over.
Is this how it works?

Yeah but usually they have surgery and can come back. I'd like to know how serious his problem is to determine if he is coming back at all. There seems to be a strange silence regarding all of it, which may be implying all that needs to be said I guess.
