It's looking likely at this stage (SEN - "The Back Page").
It also sounds like the Kangaroos and Essendon will be 'usurping' us and taking the Easter Monday game.
Looks like we were pipped for both Good Friday AND Easter Monday.

Very very unlikely there'll be a Good Friday game in 2008.
And if Good Friday is on the agenda - Carlton will have it as there home game. (They got the jump on the other clubs and lobbied the AFL Commission and went over Vlad's head).:thumbsd:
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Let's hope for a better effort than Round 1 2007. That was disgusting.
And why would Carlton want a match on Good Friday? According to Carlton fans, Judd would still be nailed to a cross on that day.

When does the fixture come out for 2008?

I have heard that it will be a 24 game season next year instead of 22.
Can anybody confirm this?

Why couldnt it be against West Coast over there or something to get a loss out of the way early while we are crippled. A bad loss away first up worked for us this year!!!
As for a 24 game season - wont happen. The commission would have announced something like that mid season. It might be a 24 week season with 2 bye weeks - 1 Normal and 1 for State of Origin

22 rounds over 24 weeks. 2 bye weekends.

I think you will find it is a 24 week season encompassing 22 home/away games with 2 weeks off. No games to be scheduled on Mothers day weekend and a split round later in the year.
