According to a thread on the main board, the AFL has pencilled us in for a Round 1 Sat arvo clash with Collingwood at the MCG.

Sounds great to me!

A big challenge first up at the G against a team who we match up reasonably well against.

Thoughts?

Good.
Should create a sense of urgency from round 1. The Pies tend to have that affect on other teams.

The flipside is all things being equal they will have to travell to Subi later in the year for a return match.

I wouldn't bet on that!

Anyway will be good to watch Pendlebury v Palmer in Rnd 1 :thumbsu:

great we play away round 1 which means we play home in RD 22 a distinct advantage if playing in finals the following week.

Also it will Easter Sat for the pies game.

Not a bad way to kick off the season if it's true.. away @ MCG - big hostile crowd... Will be good to see where the lads will be at.
