Well maybe not love but reading the other club boards it seems to me that there is a lot of respect and admiration for how the GFC play their football and conduct themselves. And that's even rubbed off onto the Cats fans who are also winning admiration for not "rubbing it in" as much as they could. It seems everyone thinks we are a moral to top the ladder again in '08, but that usually happens with the previous year's premier I guess.
Best comment I read was by a Port supporter (they've turned on themselves a bit) when he stated: Geelong wasn't built in a day.
I'm so envious of all the Cats fans who live in Geelong and were able to participate in the parades etc. Even though I'm thousands of km's away I have enjoyed it thoroughly. I've been a bit teary-eyed at times and I'm starting to come back to earth, but I think the pride and joy I feel will last for a few years even.:)

you're absolutely spot-on there in what you say... i mean, why gloat about the GF, rubbing other clubs supporter's noses in it when, instead, we can just sit back and enjoy it for what it was.... i wouldn't think that we'd be too arrogant either about the GF win either, because of all the decades of blood, sweat and tears that preceded it...

The best thing about the club, is that this team was built with no 'priority' picks. Our attitude was to just pick well, guys with character and the ability to play in multiple positions.
Each club will be watching who we pick up in the draft, and trying to learn off what and who we pick up.

REBWhat is it with Hawthorn Supporters on BF esp. WRT to the Cats, aren't they suppose to be the "family club" ?
Can't wait until we play them next year

I said something like that and a Carlton bloke took offence because he thought I was having a go at them!
But I stand by it, there's no short cut to success, it's built on persistence, hard work and discipline.
