MELBOURNEfc is pleased to announce that it has re-signed talented midfielder Brock McLean for a further two years.
A first round selection (Number 5 overall) in the 2003 National Draft, McLean made his senior debut in 2004, and has become an integral component of the team’s midfield brigade.
Finishing in the top ten in the last two Best and Fairest counts, McLean also received an AFL Rising Star nomination in 2005, and became part of the Club’s leadership group in 2007.
In a deal that will see the 21 year-old remain at the Club until the end of 2009, Craig Cameron, General Manager of Recruiting and List Management, said, “We are delighted to have re-signed Brock McLean for the next two years. Brock is moving into his prime playing years, and we look forward to his progress in the red and blue.”
Originally recruited from the Calder Cannons, McLean has played 61 games and kicked 29 goals for Melbourne.
