View Full Version : Jared Brennon
Almost certain not to happen, but with other clubs sniffing him out, and with Johnstone heading north, would a straight swap or shuffle of draft picks be worth getting him in the red and blue?
I for one think he's a pretty exciting talent when he's on, inconsistant but then again consistancy and the MFC don't exactly go hand in hand.

I'd rather steer clear of him.
If Lethal Leigh can't get him straight, I don't think many others could. We want solid, consistant performers. By getting him, we'd just be replacing another inconsistant footballer in TJ. No thanks.

id actually love to get jared in the red and blue. i personally think he is a great talent down forward and would be there with newton (and possibly henderson) to give us a great forward line structure. wouldnt mind a trade something like TJ and miller for brennan and maybe a third round? dont know if that would be accepted though..but would definatelt do it.
also maybe worth having a look at maybe a notting or adcock. cant remember which one but saw somewhere one was curently out of contract.. anyone got more info?

TJ has already been traded sorry :(
I doubt we'll be doing any more business with the Lions. I'd have like Jared Brennan as he'd have replaced the skill and frustration of TJ.

we should have tried to get him with JT going to bris he would have been a great player for melbourne to set up the forward line with the hopeful henderson and newton

henderson is a great player, seen him play.. hoping melbourne picks him. he'd be a great KP forward for us and hoping we'll trade for pick 9 to get rance, him at one end and rance at the other would be a great combination.

Don't want him.
Inconsistent and seems to be lazy, it'd be like getting a TJ replacement, except in the form of a HFF.

Do you reckon we will take him at 4? Looks as if the first 3 picks are all sorted but no talk much after that.

You must mean Henderson, not Brennan?
I think we'd probably take a midfielder like Palmer or Masten at #4 but maybe Kennedy. I think that the other two are rated more highly but Henderson may be what we need. I definitely don't want a Tambling/Franklin repeat.

If you dont want a Tambling/Franklin repeat, then skip Palmer he is massivley over-rated. Ebert is lightyears ahead of him, imo he will be like the Selwood of this years draft, that being said i would love to get him but Rance is a far better option because of our lack of a quality fullback. Then pick up Scotty Simpson with with pick 14 or pick 21

Ebert seems to be a Nathan Jones build with his strong build. That'd add another one to the list of McLean, Moloney, Jones and Sylvia. They are gun players but we really need a pacy, extremely skillful midfielder.

I think Jones is about 179cm and Ebert is around 187cm. But isnt an in and under player like Jones, he can play anywhere in the midifeld. BTW im pretty sure most of the top 5 or 6 mids in this draft outside of Cotchin, Morton and Ebert are in and under types

Oh I kind of assumed that with about 85kg, and from reports, Ebert was a toughnut. Any images?
We should try and upgrade 14 to under 10 definitely. Getting 7 off the dockers would be amazing.

exactly what i want to do. pick 14 and CJ and maybe a sweetner for pick 7. 7 will get rance and fill a hole in our backline.:thumbsu:

I'll second that.
